Re: What did you do today.
@Prim, I'd say those Marines look quite good! I'm more of a fan of the brighter blue on Ultramarines anyway. And I suddenly wish I'd done up my Scythes with Heresy-era style squad markings. (If you have any extra Mk III heads lying around, too, let me know.)

I very much agree with this.YellowStreak wrote:I didn't know that, so have never tried the air range. Otsukaresama Prim! On target to meet your painting challenge targets.

Thanks for the historical right up to go along with the pictures of the Bretons!

@YS, those are awesome!
Finished up Stormsire's Cursebreakers, my latest Shadespire warband, this evening:

Just the Nighthaunt to go, but before I get to them I'm going to work through some more Blackstone, I think.
I also finished up the final models for my 1000-point let's-AoS Stormcast army, but the basing isn't done yet - I'll probably share them on the morrow.

@ToD - Nice work. I like the purple hair and flame effect on the middle guy.

Thanks - in retrospect, I might have made the crystal on his staff purple too, to really tie the purple magic thing together, but I had already committed to red crystals on magic staves for this army, so my hands are tied!Primarch wrote:@ToD - Nice work. As promised, here's a shot of my whole, now street-legal Stormcast army:

That's about 1250 points or so, just right for small learning games - I have one more unit to paint up (a second unit of gryph-charger riders) to get them to 1500, and I have a few ideas of how to expand them up to 2000 which will depend on getting a better feel for how the game works. As soon as I pick up the new goblins army book, I'll probably break them out again too - the new plastic mangler squigs look pretty sweet.

Photos weeee!
Quality levels are years behind ToD's stuff above, main problem is that I don't dilute the paints adequately, and my photo skills are
but I guess it will do. All the figures below are from the Warpath KS.

From top to bottom. Pathfinder sergeant, Blaine in power armor, and Lt Roca with the face gs into a mask.

PD: OFC she is missing her base but she will get it when I finish her unit.

Re: What did you do today.
I need to look in to Warpath, some cool designs there!
At the risk of clogging up the thread with "Dave on a painting roll" updates, I finished up my first Explorer for Blackstone, Man of Iron UR-025. I painted him up in my AdMech colors, because it looks cool, I want to use him with my AdMech Kill Team, and I didn't want to figure out how to do the "institution green / tank interior green" the official model is painted up in.

Nice work Miguel! Aye, diluting is a pain. That is why I like some of the vallejo airbrush paints used straight from the brush. Still, even those need diluting a little usually.Miguelsan wrote:Photos weeee!

Great stuff ToD. That Man of Iron looks a lot more imposing in metal. I mean in teal he may just be mistaken for a 1950's Chevrolet Bel Air.
