Re: What did you do today.
I got a bit of progress on the two rogue psykers from Blackstone - it's a pretty straightforward paint job, and overall I like the models, but I'm demoralized by some trouble I had putting them together that left some biggish gaps. Ah, well.

Nice! Perhaps a skylight?
So many games, so little time....

Yeah, I'm working on a second piece from the same type of box and it got a skylight already.

very nice, Miguel. Is it going to be terrain for a game, or just a wee diorama?

I got started on my favorite model in the Blackstone box (and possibly, like, my favorite model, full stop), Navigator Espern Locarno. Purple isn't a color I usually work with, so we'll see how it goes.

@Miguelsan, you could always go the LED route too if you want to go full-bore. It'd be fitting for a little shop like that.
Having whipped up a Navigator in a couple days (and learning I need more practice painting purple) I got started on some chaos beastmen last night. Should be another pretty quick job, as it's basically the same scheme the traitor guard used (I mentioned this in the BSF thread, but there are a lot of design elements in common between the traitor guard, beastmen, and rogue psykers that make me think they're all meant to be from the same original regiment, which is a cool touch), just with more hair and skin showing. Sadly, I hate painting both hair and skin...

Sounds like a great idea and you seem to be making good progress.Miguelsan wrote:Terrain for games doubling as storage for my mantic figures.

Seriously, though, it's mostly that my motivation tends to drop when I'm painting things that I find tedious or annoying, or that tend to have a long "looks terrible" period before shaping up - like, say, large areas of skin.
