What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
Bases on your dreadnaught?! Wot, wot? Young uppity uns with fancy plastic kits and sculpted scenic bases. My first dreadnaught was 2 lb paper weight and it stood on its own two legs. (Chaos dreadnaught)
And, ironically speaking of bases, my order for a model case and some bases arrived yesterday. I began making a base for my Blood Slaughterer. (I really do enjoy how far models have come from the 90s.)

Remember when dreadnoughts were on square bases because they didn't make round bases big enough? Good times, good times.

Remember how cool we thought those were. My buddy always used the 4 bolter one. We called him "Chucky".The Other Dave wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 2:01 amRemember when dreadnoughts were on square bases because they didn't make round bases big enough? Good times, good times.

I put my Ork fort gate off to the side for quite a while. But recently got it primed and ready for painting (and inspiration).

Re: What did you do today.
Can't wait to see that painted up!
Speaking of orcs, I finished up the Brutes I picked up for WarCry way back when:

The important thing is that the armor finish matches up with the Underworld orcs I have, so I can use them together as a single warband. The skin tone doesn't quite match, but eh, orcs' skin getting darker as they get bigger is a thing, so.
Also of course these guys will be made more or less redundant by the forthcoming brutes for Underworlds, but oh well!

@Konrad - That gate is amazing. You just need a fort to go with it.
@ToD - Great looking orcs.

Dave - I'm hoping for the opposite, that the Brutes I've already painted will save me from having to do the Underworlds ones
Your blueskins look fantastic, are they hitting the table this weekend?

Bashed out these guys today:

It's easy when the skin tone you want is just the straight pre-shading with no more paint on top - another one-day Contrast job.

That's a smashing job, Dave! You musn't have many warbands left before the whole set are finished, surely?
In Warcry news, do you know how many rats you can fit into a team if your order of rat ogres doesn't come in?

Too many

Just the Chosen Axes and the Farstriders, both of which Joshin happens (happened) to have sitting on their shelves...
