What did you do today.
Re: What did you do today.
Hmm Ok thanks for the intel. Maybe we should start a Blackstone fortress house rule thread. I think I'm going to be doing some tweeking with the rule set myself.
@Prim: Just noticed your work on those Reaper minis. Wow I didn't know they did those now. Are they the plastic range? They look great for DnD

Re: What did you do today.
@Jus - Thanks. Yes, they are all plastic. Reaper has a great selection for D&D.

Re: What did you do today.
I finished up the cultists for Escalation today:

Now I can get started on the campaign, adding the new explorers as I get them painted up. I really dig these models, they have a cool Mad Max vibe.

@ToD - Nice work on the cultists. Contrast again?

Re: What did you do today.
Yup! Aside from a coat of gunmetal for the metallics, anyway.

Love the horns! I should look at some of the Necromunda/Go-Mo fan-rule mash-ups. Maybe someone has come up with something relatively streamlined over the years. The Other Dave wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 8:04 amI finished up the cultists for Escalation today:

Re: What did you do today.
I think those guys are generic-post-apocalypse-y enough you could use them in anything along those lines.
I did up X-101, the servitor from Escalation, yesterday and this morning too:

Since he's basically all metal and I didn't feel like futzing around with metallic paints I tried a simple contrast-based NMM and I think it worked out OK! (That's my standard pre-shading, then Basilicanum Gray, then tight-ish highlights in regular acrylic light gray and white, then a recess shade of Gore-Grunta Fur well-thinned with contrast medium.) I think I'll push the highlights a bit more next time, but for a dull gunmetal look I think it works great.

Re: What did you do today.
Huh. I guess working from home *is* a good way to get some painting done - at least til classes start in earnest next week.

Here's Daedelosus, intrepid technoarchaeologist ("It belongs in a space museum!"). That's all contrast, except the hightlights for the NMM bits - which I seem to be getting the hang of, the gold especially. Primaris psyker next!

@ToD - Lovely work on those two. I like the glow effect on the tech-priest's pistol.

Re: What did you do today.
Thanks! I've been having fun trying out some new things - the psyker I'm working on even has some OSL going on.
