just out of interest...

A couple of days ago I decided that I needed to learn how to paint better (yup - procrastination strikes again. Why spend hours painting an ork's knuckles, when you can spend hours watching someone else do it on the telly?). So, I paid for a subscription to Miniature Mentor. It's 70 dollars, which allows you full access to their (large) archive for a month. After that, its 8 dollars per month to upkeep the sub. There are about 70GB of files to d/l, so I've only kinda started on it really, but having watched the first one (The Complete Guide) and a couple of the advanced ones (Faces and Black), but I reckon its not a bad buy. I'm particularly looking forward to some of the sculpting ones, as I reckon I aint so hot at that side of things.

Anyway, I shall report back on which ones are the most useful. Those who know me in person are welcome to drop by my house with a spare hard disk if you fancy a copy of em. As I said, theyre big files, so sending them on messenger would be a PITA and no mistake. Theyre also tagged with my personal user ID (or so MM claim) so I dont want em spread all willy nilly over the internet.

PS Id also recommend Painting Miniatures with JBT (Jeremie Bonamant Teboul) - I found this un on Demonoid, and its well, weeeeeell worth watching. Lots of good stuff in there. Big file, though (8Gb or so)

hmm a repository of the forbidden lore of miniature painting? Yes, please. I'd be interested in gleaning some of those secret techniques. 70 dollars is kind of alot though,

This is me being asian but, maybe we could split the cost and share the data?

*shrug* I've already paid for it, and tbh I reckon its not a bad deal. It's not cheap, but given that it will (hopefully) inform every mini I paint from here on in, and that it will take hoooouuuuuurs to watch em all, its not bad value for money in terms of yen per hour, i reckon.

So, you're more than welcome to copy em for free, but it means you have to come round my house at some point, cos I'm not taking my computer to nagoya :D

Actually, since Im moving house on the 25th June, sometime after that (summer hols, maybe?) might be ideal. I'll even have space for a games room and everything, unlike the glorified cupboard my games table currently resides in.
