Painting Goals Motivational Thread

I've found that I paint most productively when I'm working towards some goal - last month I had the goal of "get 3000 points each of Epic Orks and Marines painted up and based to use in a demo game with Admiral Badruk", and by gum I did it.
So I thought it might be interesting / fun / useful to start a thread where we can share our painting goals and progress for commiseration and accountability.
To get us started, my goal for June is to paint up the roughly 500 points worth of Gobbos I got from Mike at the last Joshin game day. That comes to a regiment a week, which is ambitious but (knock on wood) doable, and I'll post pictures here as I do 'em. Below is my progress on the first regiment as of this morning - I just have to paint tan, brown and blue on the first two ranks then dip 'em, and add some flock to all the bases and they'll be finished. Shouldn't take more than an hour or two - I should have a "finished" picture up by tomorrow afternoon!
So what are your painting goals?

The Other Dave, nice thread.
Now I am painting 54mm figure.
After that, I will paint these miniatures in this month.

Kaz, which game system are you going to use the Pulp/Artizan figures with?

good call on the motivational thread.
my current project (as it has been for about 3 million years, by the feel of it) is Stu's other primarch - Corax. It was converted/sculpted/hewn by Phil (Dungeon Lord) and has been sitting in a box in my house for about 2 months now. It was taken out of its box shortly after naghammer in golden week, and i undercoated it, carefully highlighted all the black, and blocked in the white areas (different types of white for different things.) the problem was, I had completely lost interest in it. Its not that its a bad model, i just wasnt in "defender of humanity" kinda mood. I tried. I really did, but the muse was gone
but then...
i was browsing on CMON and saw a really ace article about OSL in the dark and I thought "ah, sod it, lets try it and see what happens." So, a couple of days ago I painted the entire model black again, pulled off his head (sorry phil!) and set about blocking in some white splotches to see if i could roughly work out where light would be.
Thats where it stands at the moment. I find OSL very, very hard to work out. I can kinda picture where it should be, but when I stick the paint on it's clearly wrong. Not sure what I can do about it, but at least Im feeling sufficiently motivated to keep trying. My intent, btw, is to have 3 light sources. Colour, at this point, is optional. The light sources will be the Inside of the neck of the suit, and the two lightning claws. NOTE the gloves themselves are white, the blades are going to be the light source. I havent painted them yet.
So far Ive roughly blocked in the light from the neck of the suit. What I wonder is: should I paint the non-black bits of the model before I add the light or after? My image is of him being in the dark, lit solely by his own light sources, so anything not directly in line with a light source should, in theory, be black. How would that work with his white shoulder pad? any ideas, anyone?

Spevna,
The only game I have played is WHFB, just two times two years ago.
I want to play the pulp game sometime.
But I have not played yet.
The reason is nobody persons be interested in the pulp game around me.
So I also dont know the good rule of the pulp game.
I will use these cultists and Artizan figures on the paper building of the Worldworks game.
A simple zombie game rule is included that paper terrain.

The shoulderpads should have some light hitting them from the claws, but would otherwise be best done in a very dark grey I think.

Spearmen DONE!!!
Bolt Throwers DONE!!! (not much detail on them)
5 Silver Helms - 90% just a few details and a final coat of white.

the theoretical position of the light isnt the problem, the problem is:
what colour should the light be?
How would that colour interact with the colours on the mini? Should I paint those colurs first and then add the OSL, or paint the OSL as it is what allows the colours to be seen in the first place?
How blendy do my blends need to be?
Why aint it working?
the pic below is an example of the fun you can have with a laser and a slow-exposure shot
