9月？！？！9月！？！？！ What in the hell good is 9月？ Seriously, if they announce it on either the day of the school speech contest or my wedding anniversary, or any other day when I can't go I am going to give forth an expletive of such bowel shaking fury that GW HQ in Nottingham will think great Chthulu has finally gotten bored of hanging out in R'lyeh and decided that the world could use a bit of End Time action

Are either of those things on a Saturday? If your anniversary isn't, you're already in the clear on that one.

Anniv is the 22nd, (Sunday) so id need to really bust a move after the event to get back in time. The speech contest may or may not be on a Saturday. However the real sticky wicket is that I work every second Saturday anyway, and there's zero chance of getting out of it. I have one of those jobs where you can take time off if youre sick (really sick) or someone dies. Taking time off for personal reasons is an absolute no-go. I can fairly accurately hypothesise that I'll be working the 31st, 7th, 8th, 21st, and will be annoversarying on the 22nd. That leaves the 14th and the 28th. That's it. Had it been in August, any day woulda been fine (school holidays).

Very worrying...

I should also add - thanks for the info. I appreciate I'm coming across as rather negative here, mostly because I'll be gutted if I have to miss it again, but I do appreciate you posting the info ta much
