Normandy '44 - Bolt Action - September 2nd
Re: NagoyaHammer Event - September 2nd
Why not a Barkman's corner scenario? If you ever wanted a excuse to paint up 12-13 Shermans...

I don't need an excuse to paint up 12 Shermans, I need time.job wrote:Why not a Barkman's corner scenario? If you ever wanted a excuse to paint up 12-13 Shermans...

Re: Normandy '44 - Bolt Action - September 2nd
Few questions:
Bolt Action v2 rules I assume?
Normal size or oversized tables? (given 3 tables and up to 12 armies I assume bigger than 6x4?)
Are there points, historical (other than normandy '44) or other restrictions on armies?

So many games, so little time....

V2 is likely, though it really depends on a Japanese version being available.YellowStreak wrote:Few questions:

I was thinking 6' by 6' foot for the tables, more or less.
Yes, we will use points and try for historical lists, but there won't be any restrictions beyond the Normandy '44 period. (E.g. No Panzer I's, T-34's or Pershings).

I'm sure you already have a Panther...Primarch wrote:I don't need an excuse to paint up 12 Shermans, I need time.job wrote:Why not a Barkman's corner scenario? If you ever wanted a excuse to paint up 12-13 Shermans...
How many Shermans can we all put together? I have 1 built and 2 I can assemble...

Basically it was a company of Shermans, so 12-17 would be accurate. 4-5 of them would be of the 76mm variety.
And, yes, I have the Panther already.
If you ran the mission it should be a narrow lane lined with bocage with a farmhouse and crossroads at the end. Basically it should be question of how many Shermans the Panther can destroy and how long the Germans can hold on. There was a small platoon of SS from the 12th that day. The Aemericans were supported by armored infantry.

Re: Normandy '44 - Bolt Action - September 2nd
Now that NagoyaHammer is over and done with for another year, it's time to start looking at the next event, Normandy '44.
My original plan was to do three tag team games on three 6' by 6' tables. For that to work, we would need 12 players, which I'm thinking may be a little optimistic? So, I'm going to throw things open to discussion a little.
Do you prefer:
A) A mega-sized battle like we had at Overlord?
B) Tag team games with 2 players Vs 2 players?
C) Individual 1-on-1 games?
Even if you have no strong feelings, if you could rate them in terms of preference it would help me to make a decision.
I'd also like to get a rough idea of who is planning to come if possible. I understand that real life may get in the way though.
As always, I have spare armies lying around if anybody wants to join in, but doesn't have the necessary late war, north-western Europe style army available, or doesn't have any Bolt Action minis at all.
