I think that having some kind of time limit is a good idea for participation games. Obviously it would be variable for each game system but it would help make sure everyone gets a go.

I am thinking of running two games;

1) Songs of Blades and Heroes.

This is a small warband skirmish game with very simple rules. I am thinking of running it as a dungeon-bash.

2)Frag-o-rama

Everyone gets one character and they spend the game trying to kill as many others as possible. Think Halo or Unreal.

Each of these could be done in 90 minutes and I would be happy to run them throughout the day to act as fillers between peoples Warmachine, Hordes, and Mordheim.

I'll be there (hopefully) to play mostly Warmahordes, and then (a close second) Malifaux, and then some BB, Mordheim, Necromunda, and whatever tickles my fancy.

I'll be there. Flames of War, Fragorama, Mordheim, songs of blades and heroes etc

Lets get some Space Hulk played too. I can bring the old battered edition but if anyone has the new one it might be better. Perhaps we could do a winner stays on Space Hulk game with the same mission. That might be boring for the winner though if they want to play other games.

It's good to see that everyone is keen BUT I reckon that we should organise it so as we don't end up with loads of unplayed games. As I said, I am happy to run games of SoBH and/or Fragorama for people to play. I am also keen to play some other stuff too. What we should do is have a poll on this thread with a list of possible games. It would give us a better idea of what to bring etc.

It also may be a good idea to schedule the day as participation games and free play. That way we could have two or three participation games (that people could sign up for in advance) in the morning followed by free play in the afternoon and evening

I hope satoru comes to this and brings his "mall of horrors" game. Rob and phil know of its awesomeness, and I'd heartily commend it to anyone what calls himself a gamer.

As well as FOW I will probably bring along a board game called "Shadows over Camelot". It doesn't take too long, between 1-2 hours depending on the number of players. Perfect for in between more serious games.

SOC is set in the Arthurian world (Duh!) and has the Players as the Knights of the Round Table. The unique thing about the game is that you play against the game rather than each other. I've been involved in 3 games and the Players have yet to win. It's actually rather humbling to be beaten by a few pieces of cardboard, some coounters and an esoteric concept.

@Spevna: You're on.

BTW I totally agree with Spev about perhaps having some sorta system/order with the games, especially the smaller games.

We also need to factor in numbers. If we have enough, we could have two or three participation games running simultaneously before, after, or during free play games. Between me and Pikey, we we have two participation games already.

I'll throw in my hat, officially. If I can get, say, 3 people who are interested in a 2-hour-ish demo-type game of Gamma World, I'll prep something and bring it along. You don't need the rules or anything - character creation is all old-school and random, so we'll make up characters then and there.

If not, I'll just bring Warmahordes and sponge off Pikey's FoW stuff as usual. :D
