We talked about it at Joshin this month, but just to confirm in writing: I'll be there (random scheduling notwithstanding) and will happily play whichever side you need me to.
Feel free to call me Dave!

That is an impressive looking set up and a lot of players who seem to have had a lot of fun playing.

Yeah I visited them when I was back in Oz earlier in the year. They've got a great setup at the Coogee Bowls club (including their own little shop!) and are a really friendly bunch of guys. Some superb painters there too.

If you want to attach images, I recommend using an image hosting site such as Imgur.

Do you know which armies the Japanese players are planning to use? Or do they want to borrow an army?

@Prim
One guy is Mr. Takahashi. He wants to play German side and will prepare his own minis.
Other guy is Mr.Sugiura. You played BoltAction with him at June gaming. He haven't decided the side.

@Prim
Mr. Sugiura replied about this event. He will join and U.S. or German are OK.

Great! Either US or German forces are ok. If he could confirm his choice sooner rather than later, it would help me plan out my own painting schedule.

@All - Don't worry too much about points when building your lists. If you want to put a couple of tanks down on the board, or a squadron of armoured cars, thats fine. I would also suggest that trucks, half tracks and transports would be a worthwhile investment given the size of the table we will be using. I am doing my utmost to ensure that there will be some spare vehicles to use on the day.

#IMPORTANT#
I still have time to paint British Infantry, Commandos, US Infantry, Rangers, Panzer Grenadiers, or SS Grenadiers. If you have said you will bring one of those forces but are not sure if you can get them done in time, please let me know ASAP.

I'd like to ask people to start reviewing their collections and letting me know what they have ready to go. Only painted and based models please. No undercoated/unpainted figures for this game. It should look spectacular. Please PM me a list when you get a minute.
There is no need to identify what every model in a unit is equipped with, so if you could send me a list of your units, teams and vehicles which are ready to go (anything you are working on can be added to your list once it is finished). Units should be close to full/historic size, both sides had been preparing for this for a while. No need for min/maxing.

For example.
British Army
Lieut.
3x Rifle Squads
2x MMG Teams
1x Piat Team
1x Sniper Team
1x Universal Carrier
1x Humber IV Armoured Car
1x Sherman III
1x Firefly
To keep things simple on the day, only special forces and their attached vehicles (Paras, Commandos, Rangers and SS) will be counted as Veterans. (Yes, I know Panzer Lehr and several allied Divisions were crack units, but I want to avoid a situation where every unit is a Veteran). Only Osttruppen will be Inexperienced. Units which can purchase extra rules, (Tough Fighters, Fanatic etc.) or AT grenades will be assumed to have them.

@Prim
I rewrote my U.S. army as below.

2 x Bazooka team
1 x Sniper team
1 x Air observer team

Also, I will tell you other Japanese guys units soon.
