I know just what you mean man I look at montains of orks and I just can't make make my self paint them what works for me is paint one color at a time ... for my orks I paint the body one color and that is all I do for like 15 of them then a few days later I paint the green on the skin then the next day I paint the boots and then the guns... that gets most of the model done and then on a day when I really feel the call of the paint daemons I paint all night and get the lot of 15 done... hope that helps...

I do the opposite (well, kinda). I tried production-lining like the admiral suggested, but it destroyed my soul. I find it much more rewarding to paint them in pairs. if you do, you can get 2 completely done in a day (maybe even 3 for guardsmen.) I get more of a feeling of progress when I can mentally tick another two minis off my list every day. It works out as 14 a week, which in turn makes 56 a month. See, you could be done by the middle of august :)

incidentally, is the admiral any more comprehensible in spanish than he is in english? just curious, like...

Google translates this as follows:

"Duties English does not serve me ... but well the truth is that my Ork is perfect ... Ork sun does not write as Spanish ... porfa me what ..."

So, I guess the answer to my question would be : "no." then...

I'm looking forward to this event and will try and drum up some more support for it.
So far 6 to 7 players is really good though.

One thought that occured to me just recently, and sorry to sound like a complete bore here, was in regards to getting the Japanese gamers involved. Do they know the event is called O Bomb?
It may seem like a bit of black humour for us but naming an event after Obon in this way may cause upset during this important time. I know it's only a joke but it is the festival of the dead afterall, where ancesters come back from the grave to speak with loved ones. It might be a little insensitive calling it O Bomb. Especially as the culture has such an anti nuclear bomb agenda.
Forgive me for sounding like a big girl on this one but it even made me think twice about whether I should go or not. I suppose if you are superstitious or believe in ghosts it might put you off. I really want to join of course as Nagoyahammer was fantastic. Probably too late to change the name but if you do invite any Japanese people probably best not to dwell on the title.

And on that bombshell....
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.
