Jan 7th+8th - Winter Blitz 2: The Blitzening!
Posted: Tue Nov 01, 2011 7:56 am
Greetings and salutations gentle-folk of NagoyaHammer. I am pleased to inform you that today, I, Your Primarch and spiritual liege have taken it upon myself to make a reservation for Winter Blitz 2, hereafter to be referred to as The Blitzening!
On January 7th and 8th of the year 2012, you are cordially invited to come to Nagoya and spend 2 days playing games and chasing away those winter blues with good company and fun times to be had by all.
On the menu we have:
Warmachine/Hordes,
Malifaux,
Flames of War,
Dust Tactics/Warfare,
Cutlass,
Mordheim,
Necromunda,
Black Powder,
Epic Armageddon,
Blood Bowl,
Strange Aeons
And any other game that isnt Warhammer Fantasy or Warhammer 40,000 (as they have their own dedicated events).
If there is something you want to play, put up a post and see if you get any takers. RPGs/Boardgames are fine so long as all the players are ok with the time they take to play. Short and fast games are the order of the day though.
Doors will open at 9:30am (though you can come and help out at 9 if you want) on saturday and close at 9pm.
Sunday will be 9am to 4:30pm.
To help people get the most out of their games, please try to organise games around the following schedule:
Saturday Morning ~ 1pm
Saturday Afternoon ~ 5pm
Saturday Evening ~ 9pm
Sunday Morning ~ 12:30pm
Sunday Afternoon ~ 4:30pm
You can always fit more games in if they finish early.
There will be 2x 6' by 4' tables for bigger games like Flames of War and 8x 3' by 4' tables for all the smaller skirmishy stuff. Terrain for most games will be provided as usual, but if you need something specific, you should contact me by PM or bring it yourself.
Entry will be 750 yen for Saturday, 500 yen for Sunday or 1000 yen for both days.
Venue and Directions.
The games will be held in Meeting Rooms 1 and 2 of the Nagoya City Lifelong Learning Center located near to Kanayama in Nagoya City. (Its about 10-15 mins walk from the place we used for NagoyaHammer this year).
From Kanayama station take the Meijo Loop line clockwise to the next station, Higashi Betsuin. From Nagoya Station take the Higashiyama Line to Sakae and transfer to the Meijo Loop line anti-clockwise for 3 stations.
At Higashi Betsuin, go out of Subway Exit 1 and go straight ahead. You will cross over a small side street and see a green bridge on your right and a Pink-ish building on your left. Keep going straight and you will come to an orange coloured brick tower and the Nagoya City Women's Center. The Lifelong Learning Center is the next building. It has a glass front and a circular front entrance. Its about 1 minute walk from the subway station. Go in through the front door and the rooms are on the left.

Personally I plan to bring Warmahordes, Malifaux, Dust, Cutlass and maybe some other bits and pieces.
I'm looking forward to seeing you all there.
