Thank you for a great battle today at 1000 points with Mrs Yarrick. I only had time for the one battle but it was a good one. She won 6 kill points to 3 Dark Elder (who are an awesome army) against Ultra.
So sorry I couldn't stay longer as I agreed to meet friends in Nagoya and later Keiko my bird.
Hopefully next year I will join the tournament after a few more practice games. Feeling a lot more confident about 40k now.
Thanks to Stu and all that made it happen it was awesome. Great to see you all again. See you at the next one. ;)
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

Thanks to everyone for coming along and supporting this event. Whether you came from near or far, your presence was appreciated a great deal. It was great to see some of you after such a long time and I had an awesome couple of days with all of you.
Thanks to The Underdweller and Mrs. Yarrick for thrashing me and Konrad and showing that this isnt just a game for the blokes AND that experience isn't all it's cracked up to be.
Thanks to Konrad and Jus for being so caught up in their private little war that I could sneak up and steal the objective out from under their noses.
Thanks to M_i_J for dismantling my new army in true Dark Eldar style, curse those nasty little space elves.
Thanks to Danguinius for a VERY close game of warmachine. 1 more point would have done it.
Thanks to Dungeon Lord for his sporting defeat in another close game.
Thanks to everyone who came along to the Izakaya and to Badruck and Konrad who filled in for the folks who dropped out.
I hope everyone had a good time and I hope that everyone can make it again next year.

THANK YOU ALL. :D

Just want to add my voice to the chorus of "thank yous" for this year's NagoyaHammer. It was a great couple of days, and I had a great time seeing everyone again and playing plenty of 40k. Thanks in particular to my opponents in the tourney - Miguel, Seneschal and Frans, for some very close games (so close in fact, with Miguel it was a draw. Last year I beat Miguel, this year was a draw. Next year - I may have some troubles...)
Thanks also to Mike the Pike for a close fought draw in the evening - 8 on 8 KP, with the lead changing back and forth from turn to turn. Dang that pesky viper for chasing the baron up the table! And thank you to Prim for a great 2000pt big game today - I'd like to say it was close, but...well, let's just say that Lufty Huron isnt all he's cracked up to be :D Finally, thank you to Badruck and Jus for a fun game of Killzone. Guido Cantor is enjoying his stay in the pits of Commoragh, thank you for asking after him :D :D :D :D

So, aye - a great time had by all, so far as I could tell. Thank you very much to Prim for organising the whole shebang. It's great that he takes the (considerable) time and effort to put this event together.

Roll on next year. :D

Big Thanks to Da Beaky boss for a very cool little event...

After a couple of Killzone games and a Tournament showing that was less than illustrious all and all I had a great time Cheers to Feel The Adrenalin for my closest game game of the first day... I am not sure why but it took a forever to get any where with that game...turn 4 finish is just too slow next time I will be sure to go Fasta-

I think Killzone was a the high light of my experience... it was just too funny all the Character that we were able to give the game was just awesome.. Sanguinary Priest Cappuccino let the son of the great Pedro Kantor get captured buy the Wicked witch of Japan... the prompted disciplinary that led to and Orderus Exterminaticus lead buy the Grey Knights and a certain green Chapter of Space Marines. too bad Badrucks Boyz carried out the order before either chapter could come and parle with the Blood Angels brothers.

I can now say with soberness that Fire warriors are in fact worst units in a Tau codex next to the Ethereals there is nothing so useless compared to the Kroot and Drones that did heaps of good work I am shelving the Tau until there is an update to them...

I can also say that Cappuccino (AKA FEEL NO PAIN) is given out to way too many units in the game these days.. there was a time when only Plague Marines had it now it seems that every army except Tau stalks at least 4 cappuccino units one the board or all your units if you are standing close enough to the cappuccino maker in the case of Blood Angels.

all and all a lovely event..

A big thanks to the Prim for organizing this. I'm sad that I couldn't make the second day. My insomnia was a nightmare and I couldn't sleep until just before my alarm went off.

Thanks to Javi for a good game, probably the funnest game of the day for me. Though I found out we played the FNP rules wrong. You can't use FNP if an attack ignores armor saves all together. Live and learn, though it would have been fun to have killed Dante off.

Thanks to Phil for a good game. Tzeentch vs Tzeentch was a classic. Came down to the end, just the number of attacks turned the tide.

Thanks to Pikey for putting up with me and putting up an epic battle. By far the hardest fight of the day. He did an outstanding job of protecting his unit and trying to crack that nut looked impossible until near the end.

Thank you people for these intense two days, really funny, too much fun and too many good games that now I am a little bit sad :( ... I dont have opponents in my area. So if you know someone near Sendai that plays Wargames please let me know.

Thank you all opponents for nice games. Colonel you are speaking about flamers, I am sorry probably you are right, I will check again at home (now I am in the office), but what I can remember now that you cant use FNP when the weapon have FP 1 and FP 2 or is instant kill. At least you had two shootings turns with them, I forget to charge them. Flamers have instant kill rule? Because Dante have 4 wounds and 4+ invulnerable save :) .

Mike, very tactical and fast battle, nothing deploy at the beginning and everything arriving in reserves, I was lucky to catch your Autarch with my Vanguards, even losing my thunderhammer in the first turn of combat they immobilize him and finally I could kill him with more troops. Dire Averngers are really really tough, they immobilize my dreadnought, one full assault squad and one vanguard squad in close combat for almost 3 turns in combat, and they kill my vanguard during the process.

Tyranid player (sorry I forget your name I am really bad for this), well, like Colonel says before "live and learn". Really interesting battle with new scenario that I really think is refreshing and nice. At turn 5 I delivered my objective touching in base to base contact the middle objective and I used my troops to block the middle objective, leaving a small gap within them, you moved your Tervigon 4" because difficult terrain test, so it was about 2" or 2" and half away from the middle objective not in base to base contact with middle objective, but then the rules changes a little and it was decided that is not necessary to stay in base to base contact to deliver the objective, also Tervigon is not infantery unit, so it was not able to carry the objective. Anyway, done is done, and I made also some tactical mistakes, for example not blocking your Tervigon killing machine with my Vanguards with storm shields and not adding more firepower to your genestealers unit and I had some lack of luck in this game :( . Nice to play versus you and see you next year for revenge :D .

Next day Roberto and Tania versus me and Daniel, my best battle in the two days. Really lot of fun, very close until the end. But your are true Roberto Tau need really need some improvement.

Well thats all I will add some picture in next days, thanks to Stuart for organization, all people for battles dinner and good bier. See you next year!! ( I hope before).

Flamers dont allow armour saves if using their Breath of Chaos ability, so no Feel No Pain, though invulnerable saves are ok.

"Shout outs and props" to all! I did much worse in the tournament compared to last year, but maybe had even more fun this time around. Fun tourney battles with my former teammate, a man with a baseless Tervigon, and an adolescent who fielded Mephiston AND Dante in the same 1500 point list. I had two great team battles on the 2nd day and a truly down-to-the-wire, fun WarMachine duel which ended in my usual "death-by-foolishness" (why did I get so close? why didn`t I shoot the Butcher from 11.5 inches away? :? ) Sorry I couldn`t a game in with MIJ, Mike, and anyone else not mentioned here. As always, it was well worth the trip to wargame and drink a few beers with so many cool people. I look forward to doing it again next year (team tourney?!)

A special thanks to Stu for organizing everything, providing terrain, etc.

P.S. "The Triple Landy" has lost it`s title as cheeze-list of the year and has now been replaced by "The Dante/Mephiston Double Punch"

Big thanks to everyone for a great time, but especially Danguinius, Feel the adrenaline and Miguel who were gracious enough to put up with the double punch. Having golden boy and le signeur du fromage together in the same list works quite well, but is also not very sporting, so I don't think I will be doing anything like that next time. oh, If it makes anyone feel better, I was quite soundly tabled by Mike the pike.

Killzone is a whole lot more fun if you give your objectives some background like Pedro Kantor's son, absent both arms and a leg, who liked to go fishing.

All in all, Everyone played very well, and I had some really close games.Who wants cappucino in a goblet?

Let me chime in with my thanks to everyone. I had a blast, several in fact, though most of them involved Sly (Squat) Marbo scattering his demo charge back in his own face. It felt really good to blow the dust off my old Squats and get them back on the table. They did not stay on the table for very long as they were eaten by Genestealers, chopped to bits by Harlequins, and hacked to bits by Blood Angels and outmanueverd by Prims Hereteks, who must have been wearing their running shoes as I don't think they rolled less than a "5" for any MTC or Run dice. My only success came when I was teamed up with my arch-Nemesis, Underdweller and her Tau! How embarassing. I wish I could have been there for the Killzone game. I definately want to give that a whirl soon. Small, multi-player slightly wacky games are my favorite flavor.
