Just placed an order with Wayland games.

If they post them before the weekend, maybe yes. If they post them after the weekend, probably not. :D
But who knows? I had a parcel mailed on the 7th that arrived on the 21st and another mailed on the 11th that arrived on the 18th. The mail service can be very unpredictable at times.

A lot depends on who your mailman is....

I'm going to post now on this website to complain that my stuff that I ordered a month and half ago and corrected a month ago has still not arrived. :(

Now I know the universe will have the stuff arrive here in the following days to make me look silly.

Have they shipped it yet?
If so, maybe its stuck at customs.
If not, is it in stock?
I've had stuff on order with them for ages, but they are out of stock and their supplier is also out of stock, so its not really their fault. If it is in stock, send them an email.

Yeah, so as I was writing before, I send them a "ticket" on their website, and Wayland responds overnight. Clearly, to embarress me, they sent the package one day after the 19th (of June), when all that confusion was resolved.

So, the delay is apparently the fault of whomever handles the delivery from the UK. Of course, I don't relinquish Wayland or the Universe from their complicity in trying to embarrass me.

@Prim: Actually, the previous problem had to do with stock. They posted a FOW product as "stocked" that was no longer in-stock and is out of production with BF (the reason I was ordering it from them). But that was resolved, too. :)

ouch.. Wayland were not able to process my order even though they had a whole day for it, although I know this varies alot but there goes +1 point to Maelstrom for being able to process my order in one day last time.

That was just luck. Neither of the companies is particularly fast most of the time. They both receive massive amounts of orders every week, even more if they have a sale, special offer or a big new release. And in Wayland's case they have been busy moving everything over to an even bigger warehouse.
If you want something quick, order from GW or buy it from a bricks and mortar store. Neither Wayland or Maelstrom can be relied upon to be fast. I've had orders placed where I waited weeks to get them sent. (Though I usually order during one of their sales). Cheapest Prices + Next Day Shipping is asking a bit much.

@Job - Did they give you a tracking number? That seems an awfully long time for you not to have received it. Usually if customs stop the parcel then they send a letter to you the next day to inform you.

They've asked me to wait till August 1st, then if things haven't arrived, they'll resend the package and begin a hunt for the product.

to continue the investigatory theme of this thread:

i made an order with wayland today - 100quid, all in stock. When will it arrive?
I also made an order with maelstrom today - about 20 quid, but one item (empty vallejo dropper bottles) not in stock. When will it get here?
AND I pre-ordered Black Crusade from Maelstrom - Amazon promise it on the 1st september. When will Maelstrom deliver?

I reckon that these 3 orders should give plenty of data for the whose-quickest debate :)

oh, and for the record, its my birthday tomorrow, hence the splurge.
current (2019) hobby interests
eh, y'know. Stuff, and things

Wow. And then Corona happened. Just....crickets, all the way through to 2023...

I have pre-ordered EVERY 40k RPG book from Amazon.co.jp so far. EVERY time they have sent me an email on the day of release saying "Sorry, this item is not in stock" and then I have had to wait for a month to receive it. Amazon may say the 1st of September, but really it would be the end of September at the earliest. I have Black Crusade on order with Amazon, so lets see when that arrives. :D

@ M_i_J - Happy Birthday.
