Not much wrong with that movie at all mate :)

Even my missus likes The Blues Brothers, so it must be good :)

Over on another thread, The Big Lebowski has been mentioned as a must-see, which I completely agree with. Everybody should see it at least half a dozen times in their life. Remember: The Dude Abides :ugeek:

Anchorman is another very good one, btw, although somewhat less life-changing :D

Last movie I watched was Sucker Punch.

For those who havent seen it, this is a movie composed of Pure Awesome. That doesnt necessarily make it a good movie, you should know. However, it very much comes across that the writer sat down with his mates and asked them "What Pure Awesome stuff can we shoehorn into our movie?"

The answers came back, "cute girls in short skirts and big samurai robots!" said one. "give em gatling guns!" said another. "zombie German soldiers and 1st world war fighter planes!" "more big robots!" "dragons, ooh, put a dragon in it!" chips in another. So, the writer duly wrote down all the ideas and diligently put them all in his movie.

Oh yes - there's a bit at the end and the start about some girl being sent to an insane asylum, but all of that is just wafer thin plot reason to have a movie with the aforementioned Pure Awesome in it.

I do kinda recommend it, but defintely leave your brain in a box by the door for this one.
I just watched it too. The samurai robot duel was totally cool. Strangely it made me want to see "Brazil" again. Brazil meets Heavy Metal meets the latest super realistic shooting video game. I probably can't give it an objective critique as I watched in the morning before the family woke up and had the sound down to where I could hear the explosions and the soundtrack but not the dialouge. Did I miss anything?
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Watched a couple of movies yesterday,

The Anchorman
and
The Big Lebowski

The Big Lebowski was good and I enjoyed it, "The Dude abides". :) And hey, that was Jeff Bridges too, same as in True Grit but younger, I like his acting. But he fits the cowboy role much better. :D

But I didn't actually enjoy the Anchorman much, I have watched a few Will Ferrel movies now and I just don't think he is very funny, well... It is a good thing we all have different opinions.

Yeah, Brazil is an awesome movie! Don't know about Sucker Punch.

I haven't watched many movies recently, but I did enjoy "X- First Class" when I saw it at the cinema. It could have done with a bit more humour but I found it more entertaining than the last couple of "X" movies.
