Looking forward to Thor 3 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2. :)

Just curious, what is the premise of Logan - which timeline is it set in? He is losing his healing power it seems and finally succumbing to old age.

Watched a couple recently-
-Nightcrawler, in which sketchy, untrustworthy misanthrope Jake Gyllenhall sets up as a video journalist, trawling the underbelly of LA in search of lurid and lucrative video footage. How far will this ghoulish lensman sink in his quest to succeed? Pretty far, you will find. Recommended.
-The Borderlands, a British horror movie - in which irritable, alkie Priest and flippant techie are sent by the Vatican to investigate queer goings on in rural, hilltop church. Miserable and aggressive locals glower threateningly from every pub stool and thicket. It's a found footage movie, of which there are probably too many to be frank- but this is believably acted and scripted, and has a good amount of humour and unease in the mix. It was also nice to see the bloke from 80s Channel 4 comedy show Absolutely in gainful employment!

I think it's supposed to be set years after the ending of Days of Future Past. He still has his healing ability, but it's slower and leaves scars behind. Given the end credits scene in Apocalypse and recent developments in the comic series, the net is rife with (probably pretty accurate) speculation on who the little girl is.
However, given that DoFP retconned a lot of the timeline and Apocalypse directly contradicted Wolverine Origins, who knows if this is the same timeline as follows on from Apocalypse?

Colossus - Let us go talk to the Professor.
Deadpool - McAvoy or Stewart? These timelines are so confusing.

With that Johnny Cash song playing and the scene in the trailer where Wolverine is resting on a shovel, I expect this one to be quite a tear-jerker.

Spoilers Star Trek Beyond

In the latest Star Trek movie Beyond can someone please explain the Ambassador Spock paradox and the inclusion of a photo of the original cast members? Is this part of the timeline somehow or simply a homage to the original crew. Why does the actor that plays Spock hold documents of the original 60s cast?

Because in the first of the reboot movies, Original Series Spock gets blasted back in time to when Kirk was born. This leads to having New Spock and Old Spock running around at the same time. Much hilarity ensues as New Spock swipes Old Spock's ID card in an attempt to buy a keg of Romulan ale for the academy frat party, but is instead bundled off to the Star Fleet Old Folks home. Old Spock has to go back to college to stand in for New Spock, whilst Kirk, Bones and Scotty have to bust New Spock out from the day room.

Is Arrival out in Japan yet? Go and see it. Especially if you liked Contact or 2001: A Space Odyssey although it's not so psychedelic and ... 70's as that).

Not due out til May here, sadly. (And for local folks, the Japanese title is "Message".) I love the short story and I'm really looking forward to it.

@ Prim. Thanks for clearing that up. I had totally forgotten what happens in the first two reboot movies of Star Trek. That's making sense. Like a Biff alternate timeline thing.

Look out for a good film called Paterson. Jim Jarmusch latest with Adam Driver. Very funny. About a bus driver who writes poetry in New Jersey.

Also recently enjoyed a chic flick called Silver Linings Paybook with Jessica Lawrence. Very good and it helped me a lot in terms of divorce, mental well being, moving forward etc. Well recommended for anyone moving on with their life and going through big changes spiritually or just in general with work/moving house/changing scene etc.

Aside from applying for jobs I'm spending a lot more time visiting places of power recently, scenic battlegrounds, winter walks, 20 minutes sitting in a church that kind of thing. I'm finding there are many places to draw our energy from once we look beyond the daily grind of shopping malls and office spaces.
Found a gaming store and hopefully will be playing Edge of Empire soon with a new group. Also started a free monthly subscription at a local comic shop so I can read IDW Ninja Turtles once a month. Things are calming down and getting easier you'll be pleased to hear. :)

glad to hear things are improving for you, mate. Keep on with the empowerment. As it happens, I was watching X-men First Class again today with my kids (also with Jennifer Lawrence.) I really like her, actually (as an actress, I mean. Also very pretty and all that, of course, but principally she strikes me as a bloody good actress.) I enjoyed The Hunger Games series, too, which she pretty much carried by herself.
