JBT and his bike across africa

Post by me_in_japan » Tue Nov 22, 2011 3:01 pm

not really mini related, but Jeremie Bonamant Teboul (he of bloody good painter fame) is currently riding his bicycle across Africa. He's been posting occasional updates on CMoN. Quite interesting, I think. The sketches also ably demonstrate his ability as an artist (over and above the field of mini painting.)

I am jealous of both his ability with water colours (could never get the hang of them) and also his being able to bugger off on his bike for Christ knows how long!

Did you ever see a TV series called The Long Way Round (or the sequel The Long Way Down) in which Ewan McGregor and his mate rode motorbikes around the world for 6 months. Not much in the way of model painting, but a similar idea to JBT.

No, but I will look for it. I would like to take a bike and cycle around the Isle of White, stopping at every little pub/B&B I can find.
