I am... PERMANENT!!!

Well, just went along to immigration this morning and picked up my Permanent Resident permit. That's right folks, there's no getting rid of me now! I'm quite happy as the whole process only took 4 months. I was originally told 6-12 months, so the hard working staff at Nagoya Immigration Office get two thumbs up from me.

Next up, buying a house. Huzzah!!

Well done to you, mr. Prim sir :)

4 months is fast - it took me way more than 6, and caused wobbles in the house buying process. Best of luck with the next phase :)

I just got my postcard this morning too - and am in the same boat in terms of being able to move forward with putting myself into debt. Hooray for ambivalently-good news!

@TOD and Prim: Congrats guys! Welcome to the club.
Does this mean it will take more than a dip in Simple Green (TM) to be rid of you? :D

You might want to use something slightly stronger.

@ToD - Congratulations!

Great to hear that you got the permanent residency mate! Awesome stuff. :)

What is not to love? Well groomed beard, glasses which reflect a razor-sharp intellect and wit, comes from good British stock as evidenced by his enviable height, and to top it all off, loves gaming. ;) Hard to refuse really. :D
