While I realize it's only test footage, and it's a long way from becoming reality, it bodes quite well for when it finally does make it to our screens.

I don't know the character well, but this looks like something a little different, breaking the fourth wall and adding a bit of humour to the usually po-faced and too serious by half superhero world.
And, far be it from be to weave a tedious reference to Dredd into everything, but..allow me to do just that. Here's a lone vigilante that some bright spark made for JDMG - Dreddpool.

This has been on the cards since the first Wolverine movie, but due to one reason or another has never been pushed through. A big problem is that the director/writers attached to the project don't want to do it as a PG movie, but the studio won't approve a budget high enough for a superhero movie which they can't market to kids.
Plus Ryan Reynolds keeps scheduling other (bad) movies so is permanently unavailable.
Which is a shame as Deadpool is one of the more interesting Marvel characters when written well. Of course, he is also one of the worst characters when written poorly. As a big fan of the Merc with a Mouth, I'd be over the moon if Hollywood could do a decent movie, but more than likely they will screw it up badly.

Awesome. I hope they have put as much effort into making it as they did into making the advertising.
