selling on ebay

I have a question that I hope one (or more) of y'all can help me with.
I'm intending to sell a mini on ebay, and hooooope (perhaps a little optimistically) to raise enough to buy sufficient harlequins to have me painting motley for the next decade or so. I've never sold on ebay before. Does anybody have any advice regarding things like:
length of sale period - a week? 10 days? a month?
starting price - I don't think 1y is a good idea. I'm thinking 150 USD or so.
setting a reserve price - how does this differ from setting a starting price?
shipping internationally from Japan - what's a reasonable price to set? 1000yen? Also, what's the best signed-for method?
Which ebay store front should I use? My Paypal is UK based, but I believe they charge you for international money changing. What has your experience been of this?
So, lotsa questions. The mini in question, btw, is Ar-Fienel by Studio McVey. They're limited edition (sold out years ago) and rare as hen's teeth. Last one I saw on ebay was a month or so ago and sold for over 300 USD. Cost me 12.50 to buy originally, so I'm fairly confident I can make a profit on this.
The question is, how much of one...
