Off to Osaka

Post by Dekana » Fri Nov 13, 2015 9:52 am

Whoa, it's been awhile since I posted.

I had been working at an eikaiwa for the last few months - including weekends, so I couldn't make any of the monthly games. Major bummer, but I knew what I was getting into when I took the job.
I kept looking for IT work, and I finally found something in Osaka, so I'll be moving within the month. Close enough that you'll be sure to see my girls at the next Naghammer. ;) Hopefully there's a 40k group in kansai for more frequent games than that.

All the best in the new job.
I believe Miguelsan and Jehan-Reznor are down that way. Plus you have the Hobby Metal Iconoclasm shop near to Namba (if I remember correctly), which stocks GW stuff.
We'll see you at NH2016 hopefully.

Hey man that's awesome! That's great you could find something you like to be doing. Good luck with the new gig and the move. Osaka is an awesome city, one of the greatest by economic output in the world.

But don't forget to keep posting here. We look forward to seeing your girls,oh and hearing from you too. Cheers!

Best of luck and omedetou for the move. Osaka ain't so far - coupla hours from Mie by by tokyu, and you could even shink it to Nagoya if you wanted. See you at Naghammer, if not before :)

Thanks for the well-wishes!

Yeah, I probably will show up at joshin from time to time since it's not too bad of a bus / train ride.

Osaka is my playground these days for going out and socialising. Very vibrant city, I love it. It also has the Kansai jigg group and iconoclasm. Loads of options for you. You'll have a ball. Happy days.
Forget about yesterday, don't worry about tomorrow because all that matters is today.

See you in Osaka soon, the battlegroup meets in sakuragawa kumin center twice a month and the schedule can be found on the iconoclasm web-store site.

All the best in Osaka, and congratulations on getting a non-teaching job. There's a lot going on in that city, as others have said.
This talk of Iconoclasm makes me feel quite nostalgic. It used to be a gloriously big venue, 4 or so tables, lots of visitors, tons of fantasy and 40k stock on the walls. I have fond memories of picking up my Brets there back in 2008 when I was dipping my toes in gaming again. Good times. It's much, much smaller location now, but I don't doubt that it's going to be a useful hub for gaming and still has a good vibe.
I don't think we ever played a game together, but maybe next Nagoyahammer!
