Happy New Year NagoyaHammer-ites! Hope you and yours had an excellent holiday (and that you get some more excellent holiday before having to go back to work).
2024 was another good year for me, hobby-wise, mostly centering around the continued success of the Ichinomiya Underworlds group on the gaming end, as my Nagoya Mini Club gaming has been fun but a bit scattershot - the Darkest Dungeon campaign has probably been the highlight there. Looking back at my painting log, my painting output slowed down from previous years, but that's mostly because my collections are mature - all I really did this year was my Epic forces and (most of) my Spearhead for AoS, plus keeping up with the Joneses in Underworlds. But I'm pleased with my output and my continuing development as a painter, working on finding that elusive point between "fast" and "good" that keeps me happy and motivated. My Thricefold Discord were even featured on GW's Hang Out and Paint stream (although it triggered some "in retrospect I should have cleaned up the sprue gates better" regret), but of course I couldn't see it myself because of time zones.
Plus I continued to paint pretty much at the exact pace I acquired minis at, which is always a nice balance point to be at.
