Howdy folks. This is a pretty blatant abuse of the forum, and I have a sneaking suspicion that it will avail me naught, but still, optimism triumphs over realism 99% of the time...(thats the optimist in me speaking
)
I'm moving house on the 25th of June. I looked into moving company costs and they are absolutely nuts. 69,000yen for 1 van load of stuff 10 minutes up the road. Even more of a ripoff than GW (
gasp!)
Being a tad on the skint side at the mo (shikikin, reikin and, dammit all, shaken this month) I've decided to cut costs by renting a van and driving the stuff myself. As I say, its only 10 mins up the road. What I was wondering was:
would anyone be up for helping me carry stuff like fridges/sofas etc from house to van and back again? I'll buy you dinner, and beer too, if you like
I'm fully aware that most of you live way too far away to consider this, but if you consider yourself reasonably local, I'd appreciate the help. Obviously, if youre busy/far away/cant be arsed, then I wont take offence. Its a bit of a shot in the dark, tbh, but I figured it cant hurt to ask
