Never played it meself, but I hear its good. This seems a sensible accessory. shipping is an ass, but it all depends on how much you want it, doesnt it?

Catan's a fun game, but why Kickstarter? Mayfair games could easily release a new edition of one of the most successful board games of all time if they thought it was an improvement.

its not a new edition, and its not mayfair games. Its just a chap who had a good idea for a thingy to hold the tiles/pieces in place securely (and allow players to pick up the board when its dinner time) who asked Mayfair if it was ok if he made it. They (very graciously) said fine. So, its kinda an indie thing, but with the blessing of the game makers.
