Agreed - as someone on CMoN pointed out, the significant thing here is not that Disney bought it but that Lucas no longer owns it. Hopefully well have seen the last of abominations like Binks...

While I will not, nor could I, defend the new series, remember the originals were ....campy, stinky, silly things but we didn't notice or care because we were 6 years old. Star Wars is awesome in spite of George Lucas and will do fine without him. Let the man rest and swim in his Olympic sized pool of money. I doubt Disney will screw this up. They have 4 billion dollars invested in it after all.
