Pretty much like the title says. Mr Priestley's brain has been fizzing again, and seems to have spat out a doozy. Dark SF miniature game from Rick Priestley? Well, the last one wasn't too shabby so this one may be worth a wee gander...

Another Kickstarter? Obviously Spev was too busy cutting glass to remember to call you a Spazzo for starting a new KS thread. :D

Hmm, looks like an interesting idea and it is by Mr. Priestley...

How about it M_i_J? Should I?

Not for me to say, guv

Personally, I intend to keep a weather eye on it and see what transpires.

It's always nice to see something that's more-or-less hard science fiction shine through the stranglehold of grimdark grim darkness.

The crowdsourced continuing evolution of the game universe is a neat Web 2.0 touch as well.

If it had been for anything else, spazzo labels would have been flying!!

This is Rick. The man deserves his own thread.

I'm torn on the crowd sourcing nature of the game. On the one hand it's a nice way to keep everyone involved. On the other, it could lead to some messy situations whereby eg. Everyone plays the equivalent of marines, so the equivalent of tau never get any wins, therefore never get any new stuff made for em. Basically, you could end up with one faction totally dominating. I'm liking the hard sf feel, though. On which note, btw, I just got the Adrian Smith art book in the post yesterday. Very nice book. Lots of fantasy, but also some very nice SF. Those Therians from AT-43 make necrons look like threepio. Bloody nasty looking things, so they are (at least they are the way Smith draws em.)
