GW strike again! Blah, blah, bullying of small companies, same old same old. Truth be told, I was pretty much on their side in the Chapterhouse case, but this time they've gone too far. Seriously, you think you own the words "Space Marine" in
any book?!?!!!

Spread the word far and wide across t'internet. Fly, my pretties, fly! This bullshit will not stand!
Well, hopefully not, anyway. Maybe he can start a kickstarter, raise 20 grand for legal fees and then trademark the term himself. Since he was using it in ebooks before GW were, he should (I believe) get first dibs on it. That would be a most delicious irony, methinks...

Wow, that Is rather diabolical!
GW has found a way to invoke the ridiculous. It is almost surreal how they've become their own manifestation of the Imperium. I wouldnt be surprised if the legal department is called the Administratum
Inquistition or something.

If the author in question had done anything to warrant being slapped for IP infringement (GW logo or an Ultramarine on the cover), I could understand it, but this just seems dumb. Especially because it looks like GW is just pulling rules out of thin air.

I've been saying it for years, and I shall continue saying it for years to come. Yet again GW prove to the world would scum they are.
I would not pee on Kirby if he was on fire.

I guess mission accomplished for GW and the writer in question:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-21380003
They made the BBC!
The funny thing is the BBC put up a picture of some necrons. I guess that is also to cover themselves from being hounded by GW lawyers for bogus implications.

I noticed that, too. It's mentioned in The Guardian, too.

I saw this and thought, it's spot not space marine. Isn't that what a court will say. You don't have dibs on the word space or marine and it's not space marine, it's spot the space marine and he doesn't look at all like a GW space marine or is related in any way. Should Gw be sued by the first person to coin plasma cannon. Sorry but I think GW will have a hard time fighting this in court.

Vasquez: Look, man. I only need to know one thing: where they are.
Next they'll say they own the word "warp" and meat packers will have to stop calling their bolt guns, bolt guns.
"Spots" the Space Marine? Stu, lend me some bits!
