...and it looks like it will be President Trump along with his V.P Bloody Right Ear. And I read this morning that "Judge" Aileen Cannon just out-and-out tossed-out the classified documents case. That was the big one, not that weak-sauce Stormy Daniels creative bookkeeping. I mean, how lucky can one man be? How many bullets does that man get to dodge? Jaysus.....

Cannon is unbelievable. Quite how she made it to be a judge, much less in charge of what is in all likelihood the most consequential case in living memory is beyond me. Her ruling is such obvious bullcrap that it'll be overturned as soon as the appeal hits the courts, but by then, of course, it'll be far too late.
We're basically bolloxed. We are living in the bad version of the universe, and in a few months trump and vance will be in charge. Putin knows this, and will keep the pressure on in Ukraine. Shortly after they get voted in, they'll pull out all support for Ukraine, and Russia will roll in, beginning a new age of Shit in eastern Europe. Faith in America will plummet, and it will find itself pretty much entirely isolated on the world stage. This will be a gradual process as Europe etc will need to build up military independence, but they'll get there eventually.
It'll suck for America, it'll suck for Ukraine, it'll suck for Hong Kong and Taiwan, and it'll suck in a lesser fashion for everyone else.
Oh, and fwiw, I think they should've replaced Biden straight after the debate.

The court cases were never going to be settled before the election. The Justice Department does not want to look like they are "interfering".me_in_japan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 11:12 amCannon is unbelievable. Face facts, some people really are above the law. Losing the election is the only way to actually stop the man, but now as 30% of the country has been brainwashed into thinking any election thier guy loses is rigged that doesn't even close the book.
And I am so frustrated at the Dems. They certainly are the "lesser" of the two evils. I mean, how are they supposed to be the folks defending liberty and democracy and standing up to the authoritarian creep of religious/ethnic nationalism if they can't even take the keys away from grandpa?

Aye, the Democrats are really fumbling the ball on this one. I mean, how hard can it be to run against Trump? The man is a walking catalogue of reasons not to get elected, up to and including inciting insurrection and having a criminal record.
But nay, somehow the Dems have managed to make it a close race, which they're losing
