Just thought I would let you all know about an event happening in Nagoya, Sakae on the 6th of Nov. (Saturday).

Once every few months, a local nightclub has a themed night where they play music and videos from Cartoons, Anime and Video games. Have you ever wondered what the theme to GI Joe sounds like coming out of a nightclub sound system? Want to know what it feels like to hear the intro to TMNT several decibels above deafening? Now you can.

Fellow NagoyaHammerer GrimFandango is having a shot at DJing early on in the night as well.

The doors open at 9pm and entrance is 1500 yen, so there is time to come along and still catch the last train home if you live outside Nagoya.

If anyone is interested, PM me. Maybe we can get some drinks in at an Izakaya earlier in the evening and then head over to the venue for an hour or 2.

Hey everybody. As Primarch said, I'm volunteering at this event, going to be DJing for the first time ever as well (just to fill in the first 30 minutes of the event as people filter in the door).

Aside from 80s/90s cartoon and anime remixes, there's going to be a lot of video game music and even a few internet meme tracks and getting thrown up. Personally, I'm planning to play some music from, or inspired by, System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Portal, and Newgrounds.

The last three times we did it, it was a real blast. It'll be even better this time if more people who know the American side of the event can make it too.

Sorry, I would love to go, if only for moral support and awesome music. But I've made prior plans like a month ago, and am going to an opera instead.
