Learn about living and working in Japan from those that do! A lot of information and great articles
by Japanese and non-Japanese about what it is like to live here, and helpful hints about getting the most
out of Japan Living.

I cant be bothered with any of em, really. Except that site that sells cheese. Never used it, but im sure itll come in handy some day. Anyway, this is a gaming forum, not a life-in-japan forum. theres more than enough of those as it is without starting another one (or even a thread about one) here. Lets stay on topic, people. (this applies to the forum in general as well as specific threads.)

If you're going to make a Life, Things and Stuff board that's not so well defined, there's bound to be open interpretation. Just saying.

ho hum, i suppose so. I just kinda felt that the initial post came across as rather..impersonal? It smells like he gets a kickback from people visiting his sites. This may or may not be the case, but the fact that he's only made 4 posts, all of which are composed of invitations to visit other external websites makes me a tad suspicious. 3 of them are clearly cut and pasted from somewhere else, too. (click on his name and then click "search users posts" on the rhs to see for yourself.)

so aye. Not so much that i dont want folks talking about non-gaming stuff, I just get suspicious of people stealing web traffic.

*edit* i just checked out the sites he listed, and they seem pucka(ish). Still not sure I approve of traffic snaffling, but at least the sites are kinda game-relevant (well, 2 of em are. The teachy one and the life-in-japan one get away with it due to being posted in the LT&S section of the forum.) Theres also a link back to Naghammer, which earns him brownie points, i spose...

Read the label M_i_J :D
It says on the tin 'Life, Things and Stuff'. I couldn't think of anywhere better to put these posts.

By the way, I believe Great Powers is a certain gamer from Kanagawa that was bringing gaming to the masses here in Japan while ye was a wee bairn. I haven't met him but I think Konrad and Dungeon Lord have.

Great Powers is one of the founders of the JIGG group, a gamer, gentleman and gracious host. When I first came to Japan and before I found the original Nagoya nerds, (I think only Itakura san would remember any of those guys) I went alllllll the way to Kanagawa for a game once. We played 40K, (with his kids, used Bug's Life toys as Tyranids) and had a great time.
...and now his Head was full of nothing but Inchantments, Quarrels, Battles, Challenges, Wounds, Complaints, Amours, and abundance of Stuff and Impossibilities.....

Thats what this section of the board is for guys. If you dont want to click through to his site, no-one is making you do so. I have no objection to this being here.

Primarch.
