Take the 'Support Ikeda-san, the Town Cryer and Chubu-area gaming' stance! :D

As for the models, I have no idea what they look like. Have you noticed that the video has already been taken down by GW?

I went into GW glasgow today, having decided to get myself a Lhamean. (for reasons detailed elsewhere.)

Good points of the experience: The staff pretty much ignored me. (altho it was fairly busy)

Bad points of the experience: The sole Lhamean model I found was miscast around her right hand and belt, and when I asked for a replacement I was told that was the only one they had in stock, but that the bloke could "fix it for me himself." When I said I could do that, too, but didnt think I should have to, I was met with a cheery "fair enough, mate, fair enough." . When I asked when they'd be getting more in stock, I was told "I dont know."

Personally I'm of the opinion that if you work in a shop you should really be able to tell your customers when you're getting things in stock, but maybe I'm spoiled on Japanese customer service...

I was then offered the option of buying one from the webstore. I politely declined and said I might stick my head in next week to see if they had gotten in any new ones.

And that was the end of that :(

So, no Lhamean for MiJ. Bit vexed, actually, as it is a nice model. I have a few weeks here, yet, so I might try Maelstrom, and if there's an issue, get my money back.

The problem with the new Slaanesh stuff is the same problem the entire current Slaaneshi range has - none of the daemonettes are sexy/pretty. They're not even nasty evil daemons (like, say, the bloodletters are) - they're just ugly. Slaanesh works because the daemonettes are (historically, at least) delicate, pretty, beautiful temptresses. The steeds and beasts are all weirdy demonic looking wotsits, but the daemonettes should look pretty but do horrible things. If they look ugly they completely miss the dual nature of Slaanesh and just become boring old evil monsters. We already have those in the shape of bloodletters, so what's the point of Slaanesh?

Fine with me chief. Personally, I think they are just not painted right and the minis themselves are fine. GW goes too far into the alien color when they should be much more human looking in skin tone. In fact this is the first time in a long time that I've actually been excited about Warhammer and 40k in particular. Between the new Slaanesh chariots, the blue scribes, and the Nurgle stuff, I am a happy camper and actually want to get my minis out and play some games.

Totally agree. I get the bit that their victims are supposed to be seeing what they think is beautiful, but I just don't dig the ugly daemonettes. They should be evil and sexy. Also think GW paints them weird to not offend anyone online with nudity. I'll never forget the story about a guy complaining that he didn't like the nude models because his kid plays Chaos. LOL, guess boobs are more offensive than human flesh hanging from armor....

I digress. The rest of the Slannesh stuff looked pretty cool to me. I'll never own Chaos, but look forward to playing against the new models.
