what does that have to do with anything?

I think the Storm Raven looks ok from this angel... and like crap form the other... I guess until someone buys one I will have to keep an open mind about the way this thing looks...

Am I the only one here who thinks the storm raven looks kinda cool? Like a baby thunderhawk. I probably still won't be getting one since deep striking landraiders are just so much more awesome. Landraiders....deep striking yeehaw!

When you roll those double sixes and your Land Raider scatters into oblivion, I'll like it too.
Deep Striking Land Raiders are fairly cool I guess, but I'll settle for running mine across the table at full speed thanks.

When you roll those double sixes and your Land Raider scatters into oblivion,
how about with a locator beacon?

So now you're adding scouts/scout bikes/storm ravens/drop pods to your army? Thats 1 less squad of Sanguinary Guard.

I smell a troll...

Just take the land Raider drop is risky but can be lots of fun... I would not bother with the homer... I have tried to use them but I have had a hard time getting the unit where I want it to be when units become available from reserves...

Homers have their uses, but I normally only put them on pods. Its cheaper and you can get them where you want them from turn 1. Great for when your Vanguard/Land Raiders/Land Speeders etc show up. They're also good if you have a Librarian with Gates of Infinity and a block of Sternguard.

On other units, I wouldnt bother. Scouts and Scout bikes arent terrible choices I guess, but you've got to really want them in the army and they are a lot more expensive than a pod. A dread in a pod costs the same as a full scout squad and can give the enemy a headache from turn 1.
