No, only regular marines can take it.
And it is stupid to take it for Vanguard since it prevents them from assaulting.

The independant character allowing them to deepstrike.
The Libby must be attached to the unit to use Gate to take them off the table and deepstrike back on. You cant use Heroic Intervention if you have a character attached.
Hence, Sternguard. The libby gates them over to where they need to be, they wipe a unit off the table. The libby then gates them to the next pod and the next target.

Not that all that really matters since BA dont get Gate for their Librarians. Just regular Vanguard and a drop pod with a locator beacon is pretty good though, but with descent of angels the pod isnt really a requirement. If you plan to deepstrike a 250 point land raider with 200 points of assault terminators inside it, I'd make gosh-darned sure that there was a locator beacon on the table first.

I have to agree with you there... no way in the world I would be Deep striking a Landraider full of terminators without something to make sure it come down safely.

Just found these over on warseer.
An army of gunships and dreads. Despite my earlier comments about the short, stubby look to the Storm Raven, I'm slowly being convinced.

Games Workshop have got the new Blood Angels up for pre-order.
Storm Raven - £41. Compare that to the £38.50 for a Land Raider.
Furioso/DC Dread - £27.70. The same as a regular Dread kit but with lots more cool options.
And the new Battleforce.
£60 for a Rhino, 10 Tactical Marines, 5 Assault Marines and 5 Death Company.
Now compare that with the regular marine battleforce.
£51.25 for a Rhino, 15 Tactical Marines, 5 Assault Marines and 5 Scouts.

The Vanilla battleforce contains £93 of models for £51.25
The Blood Angels battleforce contains £82.50 of models for £60.00
Its still a reasonably good deal for your money, but a lot less so in terms of actual content.

So you now get £10.50 less, yet pay £8.75 more. The gamer ends up close to £20 out. I think that I'd swap reasonably good for another adjective that ends with itty and starts with sh.

sHello Kitty?
Yeah, you do get a lot less. Its still cheaper than buying the individual boxed sets, but you're probably better buying the original battleforce and adding the DC to your order.

Keep your them Jus...

Just because a model looks cool dose not mean it plays well... good I really am going to laugh the first time a Liberian dread blows his arm off in the Psychic Phase...

I will not be taking any Psychers in My army... until I start Grey Knights I do not thing I will take any Psychers at all in any of my armies...
