I still think one of the most awesome rules for BA in the new codex is one that is often overlooked because taken for granted:

FAST rhinos, razorbacks, predators and baal predators, vindicators!! Being constantly on the move and still able to fire all weapons is pretty nice and can be used to your advantage in so many situations.

Thats why my BA collection contains 3 Baals and a Vindicator. :D I'm considering adding a standard Predator and another Vindicator, but the transport capacity of the Storm Raven is kind of tempting me to fill my HS slots with shuttlecraft.

O totally agree BA are in IMHO the best Mechanized marine army out there... I am not sure if it is to fluffy to run them with all mech ...though I think it shows the number of vindicators the chapter has... do not quote me on this but I think it is like 7 if someone takes 3 of them that is almost half the chapters resource

This is one of the most overrated "feature" of the blood angels, it is okey on sponson armed predators. The Rhino cost 43% more with fast. This is worth it when filled with DC, but it makes ordinary tactical a bit to expensive.

By far the worst application is on the vindicator move 6" and fire or move 12" and fire. Increasing the range from 30" to 36" is not that significant.

I dunno - being able to not only move out from cover but also get close enough to the enemy to whap them on turn 1 is something to consider. That extra 6" of range basically equates to one extra turn spent shooting and not moving into position.

dats wot i reckon, anyway, but what do I know - Im an eldar player...

True, its not game-breaking by any means, but it does help to discourage assaults. Knowing that the tank can move 12" means you're less likely to close with it if you can help it as it will just dart away. Needing 6's to hit is also a big factor.
Put a siege shield on one and it can be running through the woods like a deer and getting cover saves as well.

I will put it this way... I would not take a Vindicator in any other codex because it is too slow... hell it can move 18 if it needs to contest an objective..all good stuff.. and as Prime says it is not a game breaker... just an army breaker... hehehe
