Nah, dis is da army of de peepol dat wanna win. Orkses iz ded choppy up close an' nobody can handle as many boyz as an orky player can put down. Dey mite kill twenny boyz, dey mite even kill thirty boyz, but dats no problem, coz by turn 3 yer runnin yer battlewagons all over em and the uvver ninety boyz is kicken their "'ard boyz" (hurhurhur) inna chops. panzy playerz 'ave got no chance against a big mob o the ladz, 'cept if deyve got wunna dem pizza gunz. I 'atez dem, so I does. In reg'lar 40k, da boyz iz da winnin team alla da time.

(translation...) No, Orks are really a very good army. They are unparalleled in close combat (except perhaps by 'nids) and they can field so many models in even a relatively low points-cost game that an opponent will have a really, really hard time to take out enough of them to neuter the army before it gets into close combat and kills whatever he used to think were elite close combat troops. As an eldar player I genuinely, genuinely think that in regular 40k a green tide army (i.e. an ork army consisting of as many boys and cheap transports as you can afford) is unbeatable. The only time I have ever beaten badruck's orks was when I was playing apocalypse and my super heavy tank was able to drop 10" radius blast templates at strength D (thats a special Apoc strength. you dont roll any dice - any model under it is dead automatically. Thus, a 10" blast one is insane...) on them. In regular 40k I dont just get beaten by rob's orks - I get destroyed. Every time.

Orks are for winners. The monosylabic grunts are an optional extra which certain players round here seem to take far too much pleasure in...

Me finks da Da Big Mek be da Orky est 'im not da bashyest but 'im be less teef... and 'im 'ave da orky war bitz da we need to busta da beaky good me luv da KustomForzeField dat be da orkyest

I really like the Big mek he has all the wargear one needs to really show the enemy who is boss... not the best fighter in the HQ section but his KFFG can sure keep your boys alive with saves in the open and obscured targets on all tanks in range of 6 inches ... not too bad really

Guess no one really has an opinion about the Big mek... I think he is a great unit I will be using him in most games... either for a cheap HQ of something else...

Now as for the Special Cs in the Ork list the are all good GAZGULL is the best worth every point IMHO

Its not that people don't care, its just that as we dont actually play orks, we dont really know the difference between the various units.

There tends to be lots of them. Theyre all T4, with some HQ being harder. They have very bad armour unless theyre mega-armoured, in which case they have very good armour. They cant shoot. they all want to chop your knackers off, except flash gitz and shokkers, who wanna shoot em off, and they all have various ways of going fast if they need to.

As you can see, my perception of orks largely centers around how to kill em and how they intend to kill me...

As you (Badruck) are one of the few ork players on here, it may be helpful if instead of just telling us your opinion, you explain why unit x is worth its points and why it is better than unit y which is also in the same slot. Saying "Ghaz is worth his points" is something akin to saying "I like cake." Without any reasoning to back it up, it is very difficult to talk about merits and drawbacks. Instead of starting a discussion you are simply making a statement about your personal preferences.

In other words, stop bumping your post count with one line statements and contribute something that other people may look at and say "Well, I think...." And then you can get all the info you could ever want or need on orks.
