Your comments did come across as being a bit direct to be honest, but I'll leave the two of you to sort that out.

Sadly 15 points a model. :( (Edit, my bad, 12. I should really read the Eldar dex more closely).

I think you're being a bit harsh given that they are A) the cheapest troop unit he can buy (though also the smallest) and B) they can be good if combo'd with a farseer.

If we're going to start airing things publicly, my response to MiJ about this was:
Voss's PM was fair, even handed and neutral, if perhaps unneccesary. MiJ's original comments of "Dont sling insults or I'll get you" was intended as a light hearted warning I'm sure, but the "or else" part wasn't required.

Posting up the PM and taking it apart piece by piece seems very inflammatory and uncalled for. I know Voss and MiJ have had disagreements before and I think in future they still wont see eye to eye.

Let me make this clear. This goes no further. No more comments on this, no PMs, no discussion. I know both of you and you are both decent, good people. You both have a different outlook on things and that is fine, but I wont have arguments on the board.
@MiJ - This wasn't a personal attack on you. Let it go.
@Voss - The internet lacks tone and intonation. Assume the mods aren't being serious when they say something like that. I wouldnt have approved them if I thought they would mess about with it.
@Badruck - Be polite, even if MiJ knows you love him really.

Sorry MIJ we tend to get in to it on the forums but it is all in good fun... if anyone else was made uncomfortable I am sorry to them as well. When some one takes the piss out of me I get a big laugh out of it. If it was not for that I could not be friends with most the folks on the forum...          Especially not Pike and Prime...                          I am going to take you too down at the next tournament I can attend from start to end now that I can't pull a near win in just 2 games... To get this thread back on topic, how about adding some more categories to this calm, reasoned, gentlemanly discussion?

Best Horde killer: ???
Best MEQ killer: ???
Best Vehicle popper: ???
Best single model: ???

etc etc.

Ok here goes. top ten shooty horde Killers from the Mind of Badruck (meaning based on my experience with out looking through the books.) Again no bike no tanks and the like, MCs or psykers

1 Tau Battle suits armed with Twin linked Flamers and twin linked Burst Cannons with a few gun drones
2 Tzeench Flamers
4 Fire Warriors
5 Tyranid Warrior
6 Gray Knights
7 Burna Bozy
8 Loota Boyz
9 Necrons Warriors
10 Chaos Terminators

Say what you like but I like these the best for killing a horde army

The Battle suits may have been a bit of a fluke but the killed all but five of my 30 strong horde of boys that is the only thing that has ever done it to me in one found of shooting.

Daemon Flamers are very good too deep Strike with them using your Icon and whoosh there goes a very big swath of most anything...

Fire Warriors get to shoot you for a long time before you can get to them

No Idea about the new rules but in the last Dex Nid Warriors were sick with the amount of shots they got..

Grey Knights can move and shoot so you cant get to them for a wile either.

Burna Boys in a Looted WAGON I wonce shot them in to a unit of 30 or so guards me kill Da whole unit.

Lootaz kill anything the shoot except for AV14

Necrons are no better than a normal Marines squad at shooting the just do more shooting and than the marines do

Chaos Terminators are great get with in 12 and you have shots with re-rolls or get with in 2 and Burn the enemy to the ground just like the burna Boys

Hi, hello, *shuffles feet*

right. First off, my apologies to everyone who felt it was all getting a bit kininaru around here. I didnt mean to wind anybody up, and in all fairness, I think in retrospect that I overreacted.

@Badruck: I never at any point took offence at your comments, and my response was not intended to cause any offence to you. (which it appears it didnt, so thats good.)

@Voss: Sorry for posting the PM and my admittedly snarky response publicly. I was tired and cranky from lack of sleep/time off. I realise now you were just trying to be helpful.

@Primarch: Sorry for scumbling up the forums with this. T'won't happen again.

@everybody else: Sorry for wasting your valuable eyeball time reading this post.

right. Hopefully that covers it all. Can we all just carry on like nothing happened now?
