For the discussion of anything related to Warhammer 40,000

Do you want to play an Apocalypse game where each player has a single SuperHeavy with an 800pt cap?

No assets either (Replacements anyone?)

@M_i_J: Sure, an Eldar Titan will probably vape anyone it hits but that's assuming a lot of things go your way before it even shoots, not least of all Spev's idea of having Random turns. If you get Turn 1 you'll probably get to waste someone else's supe, but if you get Turn six you might be packing your lovely toy away before you even get a turn in.

@The Madmiral: The Chapter Masters look good on Paper but in reality they are severely hampered by that whole 'fight as a single unit' thingy, just ask Prime. They don't like Slaanesh terminators either  Then there is the whole one pie plate = goodbye squad.

I would not know if they were good or not I have never really read them... what people need to understand is I almost never read anything more than a few sentences long... I get as far as the name and the point cost as well as the picture... if I like what I see then I make the models then just before I play them I skim through the rules or ask Prime "Now what do bolt guns do?"....

I vote that we do this some time in the new year, after Winter Blitz and before the Golden Week event. That will give everyone enough time to build/paint/buy/base or do whatever prep they want to or need to.

Renting a place would be the logical choice as I don't imagine anyone has a table big enough to host a game like this. Do any of you have a preference for where we hold it?

As for a venue, Yokkaichi, Tsu and Toyohashi are all a bit far for those folks at the opposite ends of the area so how about Nagoya or Kuwana. Actually the latter might be the better of the two. It's a tad closer than Nag for the Mie lads. It isn't so far for the Nagoya/Ogaki folks. It's an easier drive for me (the most important reason :D ) and it's probably easier/cheaper to get a decent sized hall.

Kuwana is good for me. Not sure how to go about booking a venue there but Im sure we can get Phil to give us a bit of info with that.

You already crashed it, unless you're planning on building it again then crashing it a second time for Golden Week.
I am fine with playing in Kuwana.

I haven't decided what I am bringing just yet, but it will be a single model and it will be well below the points cap regardless. I'll see what I can do about getting something cool painted up.

hum. fair enough. Im a bit worried about how this will go, as I suspect if i get first turn i will wax something, then get destroyed by everything else. If i dont get first turn, ill get killed before I get a shot off. There wont be much in the way of middle ground. I cant really bring an alternative, either, as the cobra suffers from the same fragility but only shoots one shot off per turn.

hmmmn. Might have to look into that aspect assault thinger...

or...a plague tower?

oh, and kuwana's good for me. Sometime after winterblitz seems ok too. bear in mind ill be in Oz in march, and busy in the runup to it.

So, March it is then! :D
I have a feeling that this game won't take very long for some folks and would be a terrible waste of time and effort if you get annihilated in the first turn. So, how about a second round for losers or doing this as a prelude to some general gaming?

BTW if it really is going to be the 'Last Mad Standing' then a certain stark raving Bonkers Sea Dog who we know and love(?) will win it hands down. :D
