Ok, you can only use 1 army and 1 codex for the rest of your life.
Which army would you choose and why?

For me it would be Crimson Fists from Codex Space Marines. I like their background, Pedro's special rules (stubborn and scoring sternguard) are both useful and I am a huge fan of space marines.

Tough question. I would have to go with Imperial Guard. The variety of story and options for models is better than any other codexes.

Purple Perverts all the way. For those of you who don't know what the hell I'm talking about, Slaanesh Chaos Marines (BUT not Noise Marines or Emperor's Chlidren).

until six months ago thats exactly what I was doing. I played only eldar for 15 years. I dabbled in tau a few years back. gave up on em, then painted some nurglies 6 months ago. Of the three, theres no contest. Eldar. Eldar all the way from here to infinity and beyond

I have to go by background appeal really, but I would probably plump for IG if I could start my current army again, all that Sharpe in space malarkey is very appealing.
But Space Marines and Orks were in the starter...and it seemed like everyone and their dad had marines so I chose the latter. Haven't played much 40k thus far since restarting wargaming, but the view from under the toadstool isn't so bad.

The rules are not important to me. Big angry men in power armour and chain axes have "win" and written all over them.
