Hi Manjimaru, I will do my best to answer your questions.

1.) On page 66 of the main rulebook, in the "embarking" section it says. "If you need to measure the range involving an embark model (except shooting), measure to the vehicle's hull"
So if your commissar is in the Chimera, you can measure 6" from any part of the vehicle.

2.) Stunned and shaken prevent passengers from shooting (page 67). Using an order is not shooting, so you may still issue orders. However, you may only issue orders from a chimera, no other vehicles have that rule.

3.) Only the unit which bought a dedicated transport and Independant Characters attached to that unit may begin the game inside the transport. (page 67). If the Lord Commissar buys the transport, any unit he joins cannot begin the game inside the transport and must embark during turn 1. A better option is to have the unit buy the transport as the commissar may embark freely.

I hope that is useful for you.

Chimeras are very useful to keep your units alive. I usually put a multilaser in the turret and a heavy flamer in the hull of my chimeras. Good luck.

Primarch.

Hi,this is manjimaru.

I show you some confused situation happened at the Sapporo club event.

The problem is also about check range. where do we check range of the gun which is mounted on vehicle from? :?:

there were 2 players who play 40k. One guy used IG and the other used Elder.
the IG player wanted to shoot at Elder squad by using side sponson heavybolter.

IG player said check the range from vehicle hull.
Elder player said check the range from the gun.

It maybe the difference of 1 or 2 inches.

How do you think about this problem?
or if I am enough stupid not to find about it on rule book, please show me the answer. :?

thank you.

Hi Manjimaru,
The Eldar player is correct. When measuring shooting from a vehicle, measure from the barrel of the gun. Page 56 in the rule book.

Hi,guys. this is Manjimaru from Hokkaido :D
we have a hotter year and you have had so much rain. How are you guys?

btw,now I(and my friend) have a question again which is about elder psykick power.

Farseer can use some power as well as shooting.(Eldrich storm, mind war)
please let me know about following rule.

1.what tipe of shooting are Eldrich storm and Mind war. Assult? Heavy? rapidfire? In the other saying, can I move and use Mindwar?, or use Mindwar and assult?

2.when I use mindwar, can I pick up commissar(who is not independent charactor) or the model who has special weapon and so on?

3.when a Farseer is in close combat(he went into combat at previous tuen),he can use Mindwar(or the other power)in his shooting phase?

I and the friend who play Elder always fight at outside of the game

please let me know about the answer of this questions :) thank you.

Hi Manjimaru

If Hokkaido is hot, imagine Nagoya. Atsuii desu yo.

1. Unless Psychic powers say that they are rapid fire or heavy, then you can assault after using them.

2. Yes. Mindwar is very very useful. The Eldar player can target any model that isnt in assault.

3. No. You cannot use Eldritch Storm, Mind War or Destructor when you are in assault. Psychic shooting attacks are like firing a weapon. If you cannot shoot a gun (because of assault or running), you cannot use those powers.

I hope this helps.
