Tyranids
Today was my first game using the new Tyranid Codex. I played a 2000 point game against Eldar, using a list which included a Trygon, 2 Tervigons, a Tyranid Prime and a Hive Tyrant along with 2 squads of warriors, some genestealers (basic and Yrmgral), gaunts and gargoyles.
My Trygon died before it got to move, but took much of the Eldar shooting to put down. I lost quite a lot of units in the first 2 turns, but once I got into combat things started to change in my favour. The gargoyles did a good job of tying up an Avatar for long enough that my Tyrant could join in and take it down. The warriors slowly worked their way through a squad of wraithguard and a wraithlord. The genestealers did what genestealers do and killed everything in their path in a whirlwind of claws, talons and fangs.
Overall, I was happy with how the army functioned and played. Losing the Trygon early on was disheartening as I wanted to use it. The one thing that I was impressed by was the effect of poison on my warriors and gargoyles. They were able to hurt a lot of hard targets that otherwise would have caused real trouble for them. My biovores saw the light of day for the first time ever as previously I had written them off as useless. Today they did ok, but due to the large amount of 3+ saves on the board didnt cause too much damage. Still, they did better than I expected and as a cheap HS choice I may try them again sometime.

The amount of challenges you throw around, I dunno man, you're beginning to sound desperate. hahaha I have not been playing with my self... that is just how a play test things... but I am not desperate at all if your nids are not up to it Maybe Voss will throw down and if not Voss there is always Kondo san...

Sometime we'll do this, but I'd like to get Anphelion finished off first. I still owe you for the first half of the campaign where I took an absolute kicking. (4th ed rulebook needed synapse. Mission 3 - 10 models in 4 units with it, 4 units which need it. (This is a good balance)
Mission 4 - 0 units with synapse, 5 units which need it. (All the suggested units are making Ld checks every turn or they flee off the table. Ok, they were Ld 10, but a couple of bad dice rolls lost you the game).

well if you thats why I like playing Orks you need good rolls to win the game normal rolls are bad rolls for shooting with out good rolls we would have no chance...
As for the Aphelion missions have you looked at missions 5 and up I dare say that the Nids are given a clear advantage...
