Warhammer 30K

GW has trailers up on their website for Betrayal at Calth, a new Horus Heresy themed boxed set, due for pre-order on the 7th of November.
It has yet to be 100% confirmed if this is the start of GW bringing 30K into their main product stream or if it is just a stand alone game. GW store staff have been told that they cannot take holidays during the product launch, which usually only happens with big releases (new editions etc) and not with limited releases (Space Hulk etc).
Either way, the box contents are rumoured to be 40 marines in MkIV armour, a Contemptor Dread, a unit of Terminators in Heresy style armour and a couple of characters. While the game is listed as Word Bearers Vs. Ultramarines, none of the models have any particular iconography on them. (Shoulder pads etc are available from FW).
Now, I know that marine on marine fights aren't going to appeal to everyone, #cough#M_i_J#cough#, but Eldar and Orks were around at that point in game-time and Tau/Nids/Crons can be used for the alien races encountered during the Crusade.
So, what do people think? Is this the boost that 40K needs to get people playing again? A blatant attempt to cash in on and then ruin FW's hard work? The worst thing to happen in the history of wargaming?
