And here I just ordered a Skitarii start collecting box this morning - this may be just the ticket.
Anybody need some Necrons?

That looks incredibly tempting, and I don't even play 40K. Those Ad-mech robots look awesome!

I
know! I didn't know I needed a couple dreadnought-sized mini-knights, but it turns out I do.

And if the box is timed for the Necron release, it's soon.

I know I need large ad-mech robots/knights, I just don't know why.

The official announcement:
https://www.warhammer-community.com/201 ... ge-post-1/
Relevant points: It says the set will be a savings even before you count the two mini-knights and the cryptek for the Necrons, so we may be looking at a pretty hefty savings.
Also, it suggests that "battle boxes" will be occasional releases moving forward with the game line, which is a cool thing. "Mini-campaign in a box with a couple new units" seems like an interesting way to keep things fresh going forward, and a willingness to do it with armies that
aren't space marines is downright shocking.

Well, given that the current price for those minis is about 27,000 yen, a discount is great.

Non-marines are popular now? I blame millenials and the liberal media.

Well call me a millennial because I believe I just realized I have nothing else to assemble and paint for my Ad Mech army. And baby knights. Just in time for Pacific Rim 2!

I like the mini Micheal Knights not a fan of the Necrons though

Price is confirmed as 160 Freedom Dollars, so the same cost as the Dark Imperium set - 20,000 and change for us. Extremely reasonable considering what you get, but it'd be an easier purchase for me if I could get rid of the Necrons.
(On the other hand, the Necron leak suggests they're going to be pretty dang strong, so demand may pick up.)

Impressive! Most impressive. And, according to the rules preview, the Armiger is basically a Redemptor with 14" move (!) an invulnerable save to shooting, and a 30" range meltagun (which is actually sort of eh). Plus it looks like a choice of regular meltagun or heavy stubber on the carapace.
