Tajimi is fine I just need to know when it will be... the thing that sucks is Tajimi is like 2hours door to door and like twice the price of a Nagoya ticket..

Wow, Tajimi is like 5 minutes closer than Ogaki and about 90 yen cheaper for me. Thanks Voss.

Re: building from scratch (warhammer army escalation)
hmm this seems like a cool idea, I'd be interested in coming along, since I'm pretty much a rookie at WFB myself. I just finished piecing together the vampire counts box set. I also had a browse of the rules and have a rudimentary understanding of play mechanics and what not. But as admiral said, its a bit far getting to tajimi. How many new starter players do you reckon will actually start getting into it? and will they all be japanese?
Re: building from scratch (warhammer army escalation)
So Jus wants to play using Vamps, T-o-D wants to play with Goblins. Grrr. Those were my two top choices. Now I'm going to have to pick something else. I dont want to use Brets because they're going to be painted already. My High Elves are done and I've been using them a lot so its not really a building from scratch thing.
So lets look at the choices
Dwarves: +I have some, -I know Voss is keen to use them
Skaven: +I will be getting some come September in the starter box, -So will lots of people
Wood Elves: +I kind of like the tree monsters, -Dont want more elves
Dark Elves: +Good army, -More elves
Daemons: +Easy to paint, -Badruck is bringing some
Ogre Kingdoms: +Not many models to paint, -Not exactly the best army in the game
Empire: +Very versatile, -Difficult paint schemes
Zards: +Easy to paint, -Not so keen on the Saurus models
WoC: +Very tough army, -I dont usually play chaos
BoC: +Some tough units , -Never been keen on the models
So whats it to be guys. Any thoughts on what I should play?

@Jus- You and Badruk are the first two rookies. I have another one or three possible in Tajimi who have shown an interest so most likely there will be a few and it'll be mixed.
@Prim: dwarfs are yours for the taking, like I said, I won't choose an army that I have already done and the stunties were my first fantasy army

How about Dogs of War... I would think you of all people would love the look and feel of that army..

Hmmm, Dogs of War.
Old old army book, no longer supported by GW, army book no longer available, no specific models available.
Yeah, sounds great.
