Yes, of course.
I'd also have less respect for them if they made Draco-chickens. :D

Anway, here is one of Mantic's new Orcs to keep the Mantic fans happy.

I like the snotling-eque model on the base, but I'm not hugely impressed by the orc's head sculpt. The jaw is too long and narrow.

I am not keen on this model although it could just be the paint job.

I think the body is great but, like Prim, I reckon the face is too elongated. A long face would have been fine IF they made it more angular.

I think ordering the GW heads from a bits site and sticking them on the body might be worthwhile.

Bah! The beta orc army list has neither spear throwers nor wolf chariots, the two things I was hoping for (since they're units in the GW army that are not available in plastic), making the range useless to me. Useless, I say!

Pfah!

thought for a minute we'd have mantic blood knights but vampire counts players ought to weep at this... abortion of a miniature.

sorry mantic, but again...

EPIC FAIL!

I think it's marred by an iffy paint job (blue?), but really I reckon any one part of that mini wouldn't be so bad in isolation.

Skinned horse with gaping wounds? Would be awesome for Nurgle Marauders or some such.

Vampire in ornate armor? Aside from the blue skin it looks pretty orthodox.

Naked nymph on the shield? OK, I'm not so sure about that bit.

Meh, it's better than the Draco-chickens, but then having rusted nails hammered into my forebrain is better than the Draco-chickens.

That model is just a bit better than hopeless. Paint sure is not helping it very much.

It seems that Mantic insist on copying everything that GW do....
As is becoming increasingly aware in the hobby community, the price of the metal that is used to cast our beloved miniatures is going up. Some decided to switch to a cheaper material and raise their prices, whilst others try to absorb it. We’ve been doing the latter and, whilst we have switched some metal over to Plastic Resin such as the new Wraiths, this simply is not possible with all the metals we have. Because of this, whilst we’ve been absorbing the increasing prices to the best of our ability, it is with regret that we have to raise the prices of our metal sets.

The good news is that this price increase is not happening until the 21st June, so there is still time to get the sets you want and, of course, the price of our plastics remains the same (affordable), the price of our rulebook remains the same (it’s free!) and the price of our army lists also remain the same (they’re free too!) – this really is only because we have too!
Another original Mantic idea!!!
