Except, they wont. None of the rumoured changes actually does anything to daemons.

Always Strikes First no longer works with Great Weapons. Suddenly 3 of my best units (Sword Masters, White Lions and Lion Chariots) are all going to die before they get to hit anything.

Yeah elves are taking a pounding but with the 25% special and 25% rare not valid, they are getting a boost which is good as my current list got neutered something fierce

I'm not sure, but it looks like dwarfs might be getting a serious boost from this rule set.

Bearing in mind that you still have to field 25% core, that only leaves you with 75% for Lords, Heroes, Specials and Rares.
The High Elves will always have the same problem, whether its in the current 7th ed or 8th ed. Our special choices are so expensive, we can't have a lot of them. In 7th ed I almost never fill my allowed number of special slots because if I do that I cant afford any characters. In 8th ed it will be the same. Even with no limit, I cannot get a lot of special troops because their cost per model is so high.

Very true, however with the 25% limit I was able only to get a small unit of dragon nights and a medium block of white lions so any little help I can get would be great

Well do your Core units suck that bad?

We have a choice of bowmen, spearmen or spearmen with bows (or is that bowmen with spears?). None of them are paticularly bad, but the real killing power is in the special section: cavalry, chariots and decent infantry units.
