Ok, after a recent thread where people were discussing this, I figured I'd put it up to a vote.
Do people want to see special rules being brought into the Grand Campaign. This could include stuff such as extra magic items being available to the faction with the most wins, special upgrades for units and even more 'campaign style' elements such as units getting xp or taking losses over time.

My original plan was to include these things, but I decided not to as a lot of the players in the GC are relatively new and some of these would make things more unbalanced.

What do people think?

I think this time keep it simple. New missions for now. If this carries over to next year we can add more as time goes on

I'm okay with it, but I think it has to be fairly low-key, balanced and more for "color" then for actually effecting builds and such. I wouldn't want anybody experience to be sour because they were in a really difficult situation, and you don't want the campaign to snowball in favor of the faction in greatest strength.

Nope. KISS is best. There are too many of us, playing all over the show, hardly ever getting together to make it work. IMHO That sort of campaign needs a smaller group that can meet and game often. The current, simple system seems to be working well enough. If it ain't broke don't fix it I says.

I can agree with Pikey's points. It would be nice have nifty things, but we are rather spread out to really get spread out to get a more complicated campaign system going.

On the other hand, within this simple system there is a lot of space for organizing all sorts of stuff. :)

yay or nay...It feels like parliament in here.

Something that doesn't upset balance, but is a bit more of a reward system than just recieving colored hexes would be nice. :)
If winning or losing a hex doesn't really impact the game at all, then why trouble prim to update a campaign map in the first place?

The impact of the hexes will have more meaning once the green spaces are taken. But KISS is just a really good rock band. We are not stupid and most of us are just playing for a laugh if this was part of Da Beaky Boss's plan den I am good with it. FB is at the end of the day is a game of luck and fun. Let's just Keep It Fun Fellas.

Well, we could impose a dictatorship. If that is the suggestion, I will remind you that I am the only person here with an unaltered email address and yahoo title of "supremeprimarch". :D
Otherwise, I think the hexes are presumably the measure of "winning" in the campaign system. A form of record-keeping with a team. I would say adding bonuses based on territory might be problematic as it would add bonus to strength. I would argue there should be negatives to more hexes before bonuses.
Instead I think we should have events in which certain campaign conditions are imposed on the games that round, and/or special items can be won for the winning faction. Maybe a special banner that can be used again, but won from you when captured?

This works for me. Let's get together some Saturday in August and play FB I can get us a room for free and I will even make for everyone lunch. Lets do this thing.
