Balin Thurid, Lord of the Hold, son of Oesir, 15th of the line of Hriedmar of Norn, the Black Beard.
Dwarf Lord
Experience: 0
M 3 WS 7 BS 6 S 4 T 5 W 3 I 4 A 4 LD 10
(Currently a giant purple crystal.)
Special Rules: Royal Blood
Indefatigable and brash, the Lord has been leading his clans-kin on a long quest out of the mountains and valleys of the Copper, Grey and Black mountains, the hills, vales and woods of Brentonia and the Empire, out of the forests of Athel Lorien, and down the paths and roads crossing Tilea and the Border Princes' lands. HE seeks to reestablish the long lost hold of the Thurid clan and restore the honor of the host as it was in the days they resided beside Karak Norn.
He is courageous and furious to the point of fool hardiness, as when he charged a giant at the Battle of Plains Nisojaevad and wound up tangled with a fanatic. He is also vain, wrathful and hot tempered. When the chained Lord Talonverial was presented before him, the two sparred and spurred each other with barbed words. Too much for the Lord's pride, he was only stalled a moment short of removing the proud Elf's head by the intervention of his more conscientious Thane. He's prone to brooding before action. He only takes council from the quiet words of Dvalinn. He spent of all of three seasons of the last year in a long quest, yet not one word is known by his host to what he seeks or what is whispered to him from the Wanderer. But, alas, in battle with the guard of a tomb king, he was struck by Death Magic and tossed through a vortex. Recovered by his clansmen, he now lies upon his throne inert and in crystalline form.
Dvalinn, the Wanderer
Runelord

Experience: 0
Wizened, but very whole.
Special Rules: Rune Lore
Little can be written about the reclusive dwarf. He's highly respected. Old as the stones at the foot of the World Edge Mountains, he's ageless and recalled by generations beyond memory. The dwarfs of the Thurid clan know his sight, but he comes and goes from their ranks without notice. He remains a curiosity to all beholding him.
