Although it may be cut with some Ogre brew and possibly something else, it remains an excellent discovery. It has already been tasted and vouchsafed. It is worth every last X!

(Rules)
Bugman's Legendary XXXXXXXX Brew cut with Ogre Brew
45 points
- Can be carried by a unit. It causes the unit to gain the "Stubborn" and "Stupidity" rules. The item must be represented by an appropriate token. When the unit carrying the item is defeated in combat or destroyed, the victorious unit picks up the item. When the unit flees for any other reason, the item is immediately dropped. Coming within 2" of the token, stopping, and conducting no further movement for the remainder of the turn equips a unit with the unclaimed token. When carrying this item, the unit may never voluntarily leave the table (this would cause great disorder and jealousy among their deprived comrades). If the token is ever somehow unclaimed at the end of any game, it is destroyed for good.

It has been recently won by a band of ranging, fortune and gold seeking dwarves in a battle in the World Edge mountains with a band of Ogres. Fairly won as a prize, the barrels are making their way to Blainin Hall, somewhat methodically, with the very natural and plentiful stops to keep their thirst well conquered. :D

Of course don't ask for a taste unless you want a mouthful of dwarven steel! :x

Do you mean they can't be routed off the table?
What ate the ingredients. Cider with a shot of Pernod perhaps?

Routing isn't voluntary.

I think a better way of putting it would be that the unit may not flee as a charge reaction if it would take them off the table. They can flee if they are broken in combat.

Did you actually try that scenario? I keep meaning to give it a shot.

Now that the dwarves are trying to sneak it back to their territory you may well have the chance. :D

I think my wilder elves would go through some fight and travail for a taste of that fine ale! :) I hope we can partake of some ale ourselves too! :D

@Aschmie: Prim is right. I'll amend the rules to make it clear, but when you have the barrel you can lose it through routing or fleeing. The unit would immediately drop the kegs. I forgot to add you can win it by routing a unit carrying the barrel.

@The woodies: You are all free to challenge the intoxicated dwarves, but don't expect to be offered a taste. :D

Oh optional rule:
Every turn one of your units finishes with a barrel you have to drink a beer. :D

Geez, we would each have had about 5 beers apiece, and you had 2 barrels for at least 3 turns! :)

We made our own up for a side battle, with the Ogres having stolen the dwarven ale, added some ingredients for taste and then gone off to get snacks (livestock, villagers, etc).

The Ogres and Dwarves both arrived back at the Ogre camp more or less simultaneously and went at it, with a narrow victory to the stunties. They're just lucky they had that Gyrocopter!

One rule that was not mentioned above is no unit that could not conceivably carry the beer could take it (in our battle that was the Sabretusks. Kitty's got no opposable thumbs and prefers milk. I mean blood.)
