The Ark of the Covenant of Jub-Jub (by Job)
This is a powerful item, representing the solemn promise between the Ancients and their great god Jub-Jub. The Ark is surrounded by a protective aura and to open it is to unleash a purging power (vomit) upon your enemies.
To carry the item, two models must be declared bearers. The bearers have their WS reduced to 1 and can't fire any weapons. The item provides a 6+ ward to the unit from shooting attacks. The bearers themselves are given a 4+ ward.
In addition, the unit can once per turn during the magic phase open the ark and unleash the powers within upon a unit 12" of the unit and in LOS. It can also target a unit in close combat. The targeted unit suffers 2d6 hits that cause wounds on a 4+. No armor saves allowed. (Ward saves are allowed.)
A unit bearing the ark cannot pursue an opponent broken in combat.
At anytime the unit bearing the arc flees or breaks, the arc is dropped immediately, the bearers are killed as their irresolute souls are purged and the ark is dropped where it was being held. If bearing unit is defeated in combat, a winning unit may immediately pick up the item by nominating two models as bearers.
