They're making it sound much more like it's own game than Combat Patrol (though still good for teaching the full game?). If it's as fun and well balanced as they're suggesting it could be the go for getting more AoS played at the monthly events.

I just watched the GW free battle report and the game looks good. I like the starter box but It's have no desire the play Stormcast or Skaven (I played Skaven for 2 years and it was one of the biggest mistakes in my gaming life - too many self destructing rats) The real question is how many people are interested and devoted to playing a couple games a month.

Reading that "3 Mancrusher Gargants is a Spearhead" has me kind of interested as i wanted an excuse to paint some giants...
